I have a Fred Bear Vapor 300 and a TRX 32. I hunt with both.

If I were you I would come a little farther north and hunt one of the state parks. They recieve a little pressure during archery season but not near what they get in gun season. I am willing to bet the sucess rate is a little better. It is like fly said that area get a lot of pressure. I know guys who leave here (east central illinois) to go down there and hunt. We have a State Park here locally that has had some monsters taken off it and it has a camp grounds and cabins. If your interested take a look Fox Ridge State Park. If you want to hunt it let me know and I will point you in a good direction. I have lived, farmed and hunted that area all my life.

A fellow officer from one of our small towns was killed on sunday in Afghanistan by an IED. 1st Lieutenant Jared Southworth of the Illinois National Guard. Jared leaves behind a wife and 4 small Children.

I sympathize with all of your opioins I have a buck that had over 173 inches of antler but is in the book at 154 inches, unfortunately you can not call it a Boone and Crocket or Pope and Young buck without following there system of measurerment.

haven't done our income taxes yet but if it is like our property taxes we are in BIG trouble... our county did a reassesment last year on property taxes and ours went up 3,700.00

also on most bows each revolution is 3 lbs .....so if you take each limb in 3 turns that adds 9 lbs to your draw weight......at least that is what I have been told

This doe hangs out around my house. She raised her fawns in the woods behind my house and was out in my clover patch almost everyday this summer.

Thanks, actually I was told that by a fellow I ran into here while back we were talking hunting and bear hunting came up and I said I would like to go back to Ontario if they ever bring back the spring season. He said they are. I was skeptical because when I hunted up there last in 2004 the outfitter said he didn't see it happening. Thanks

I had heard the other day that Ontario is bring back the spring bear hunt. Could any of you from Ontario shed some light on wether that is true?

I never hunt with out my scent lok. But I am still bery carefull of my scent and how I hunt.
