  2. I heard that NASCAR will allow the #55 team (Waltrip) to break every rule just to see if cheating will help them qualify for at least one race this season!!!!!
  3. Called 3 in this a.m and they would come from 3 directions all at once!!!!!! Major error....commit to one bird and don't move!!! Got turned around twice and blew the shot..too far. I am seeking revenge now!!

  8. Re: Need help removing the stock on a 11-87 Take a flashlight and look at the bolt head...if it is not round and is octagon you may be able to use a socket and extension with a breaker bar.
  9. Re: TURKEY TEAM #8 This weather sure is not what I need to be able to get to the range and do some more tweaking to the boys 870 and my 935. UUGGHH!! Wind and snow squalls does not make for a good patterning session!!
  10. Re: Illinois Public Land Hunting [ QUOTE ] Pre rut begins in my area of Northern Illinois right about Halloween.......you will be in buck activity in November buddy..........al [/ QUOTE ] Yep, I was at a seminar Saturday and the speaker was Charles Alsheimer and he and his team predict an early start to things with the rutting moon being the 26th of Oct this year. From what I understood, this early rutting moon takes place in Oct only every 3 years unless I did not hear correctly. Very good presentation. I will be in Fulton County hunting the 20-26 of Oct. Hopefully the weather cooperates this trip.
  11. Re: TURKEY TEAM #8 Finally the weather is warming up so I can get out and do some patterning. I've got a new Pure Gold .670 choke and some 6 shot Hevi-13s to run through my 935. Did get to shoot my sons 870 with a Primos Tight Wad .570 with some 20 g 6 shot Hevi-13s and it didn't do too bad out to 35 yds. The wind was blowing a bit more than was expected. I think I'm going to drop down to a Tru glo .565 to see what happens.
  12. Re: how close can you get? [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] The birds will not fly down in the dark. [/ QUOTE ] Gotta disagree there. I have seen turkeys break roost in the pitch dark many times. I scratch my head trying to figure out just where & how they are gonna land. But they will definitely come off the limb when it's too dark for you to see them go. [/ QUOTE ] I agree..I've had the be-jesus scared out of me when some busted off the roost in the pitch black!!!

  17. Re: 935 mossberg Check the NWTF website ...you'll find a ton of info there under the shotgun section. Most likely a .665 or .670.
