  1. Re: some perspective (good read) [ QUOTE ] Now for the question of why even fight this war: We went to war to eliminate a bad guy and clean up nasty weapons and the ability to make such weapons. To also eliminate a terrorist haven. [/ QUOTE ] So does that mean Iran is next then N.K. ??? where does it stop?
  2. Re: Link for birds HA, dont doubt that those deer around that town have the pic of whatever hay, bird feed or three hundred doller flower gardens they want. My parents bought that new farm in Iowa, and 115 acres of it are in CRP, but its kind of a crappy contract (all broam) and dosnt have much for brood cover, so we have been trying to follow this guys plan to mix it up a bit. its very cool stuff.
  3. Re: Anybody Wanna Trade? Sure ill give you my address in scottsdale even send you a shipping label, all you have to do is find a big box. With the way UPS works ill just deny the package and you'll see them next week.
  4. Here is a link for those of you who are into CRP, or just like quail hunting. As most of you know the numbers aint what they used to be Covey head quarters I saw this guy speak at the national pheasent fest, good stuff alot of it kinda goes against what you would think but the proof is in the pudding. oh ya go to the newsletter
  5. Re: Republicans are just as stupid as democrats [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Every registered Republican should sent there voter registration card to their elected officials with a note saying “You guys have lost it, we’re switching to another party”. [/ QUOTE ] I'm pretty convinced at this point that if the Republicans don't field Mike Huckabee (I sure wish Rick Santorum would run!!!) or another conservative, 2008 will be the first presidential election I will sit out since I started to vote. Right now I'm thinking about writing the GOP and suggesting they change their party symbol from the elephant to some kind of cross between an ostrich and a jellyfish. [/ QUOTE ] now thats funny i dont care who you are, well the last part anyway
  6. Re: Iran found to be supply Iraqi militias [ QUOTE ] Don't twist my words. I never said civil war or any war was a good thing. I think we can all agree that no-one likes a war of any kind, but sometimes, there is a time for war, regardless of who likes it and who doesn't. The Lord always decides the outcome anyway, not necessarily might or power. [/ QUOTE ] Are you saying this is a holy war?? i dont see where the lord comes into this, 9-11 and al-quade yes, iraq is all about the money. That is unless this is bush's way of doing the Crusade thing? I dont see this point at all. Second.(not aimed at you buckee) ITS YOUR OWN PARTY the RIGHT WING who is against this war now folks so the left right up down argument is kind of a wash. no good points just good old fashion political mud flinging, what post started this thread again i cant remember? i need that little hammer dude strut has
  7. Re: some perspective (good read) [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Saddam Hussein didn't fly planes into the Twin Towers Strut...I fail to see the coorelation [/ QUOTE ] Nope. He didn't. Al Qaeda did. No matter what CNN, PMSNBC and the liberals tell you, there was a connection ( a big one) between the two. But, as far as I'm concerned, the ousting of Hussein was just a bonus in the war on terror (not to mention the greatest humainitarian move in decades). As long as we are in Iraq, we make that the low spot to which the terrorists will flow into in order to attempt the perpetuation of their sickness. When they flow in......we kill them. We leave..........the low spot leaves. Anyone who thinks a surrender & retreat in Iraq means the scum won't follow us back to our own soil is clearly smoking something. We can fight them there or we can fight them here. Either way.....we will have to fight them. 9/11 ought to remind us all that it sucks to have to fight them here. [/ QUOTE ] The idiots have been blowing themselves up for 200 years, when did it start coming here? right about the time we started going there. On a side note Smoking somthing huh? you get pretty pointed with your threats strut, or accusations.(i was guilty as any for awhile) Thats one of reasons i stopped coming in here (i doubt i was missed much) but I dont see where Eric has shown anything but class with you. Whats the point?
  8. Re: some perspective (good read) foot in mouth i was looking a little higher.
  9. Re: Iran found to be supply Iraqi militias [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] they are far from being like you and I We dont blow each other up. [/ QUOTE ] No Aaron you or I do not blow each other up, but there is violent crime we cannot control right here in our own country. There is political difference that is splitting this country all because of popularity and the feeling of needing power being more important than holding the country united. While there is not a civil war here in this country there is murder, gang violence, and such that is not able to be controlled. Even in a democracy or republic or whatever type of free society there will be nuts out there who will kill others and have no regard for human life. We have even had home grown terrorists here who have had no association with the extremist groups. Do we then say because there are these murders by these people from gangs and the school shooters that it is a failure on the part of our government and we are destined to fail and just give up, or do we try to work harder at solving the problems? [/ QUOTE ] This is just where im going william. Look at all the problems you just mentioned here at home, again another use for 1.2 trillion dollers and 3,000 americans. There are far more noble fights here on U.S. soil. Fights that we might win and fights that would improve the life all americans. We are failing in plenty of fights on home soil every day.
  10. Re: some perspective (good read) [ QUOTE ] Sounds like the guys in your post may have had a bright future before them BEFORE they even enlisted in the military. Like Texan said, NOONE has been drafted, the military is an ALL VOLUNTEER force. I'm sorry, but crappy posts like this that appear to cast a soldiers death in a negative light do not sit well with me. [/ QUOTE ] I dont see where this has anything to do with the soilders.
  11. Re: Iran found to be supply Iraqi militias [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] The Civil conflict our presence in Iraq has created will go on for thousands of years...as it always has. [/ QUOTE ] Wait a second, if that conflict has been going on for a long, long time, how did our presence there cause it? Actually, I'm not ready to give up on those people yet. They're just as human as you and I, and like any human that tastes liberty and freedom, they'll want more of it. [/ QUOTE ] hmmm sorry but i dont buy this at all,First off white christians have been trying to do this to this same country since what the early 1900s if it hasnt worked in the last 100 years it aint gonna work now. The commies blew there own foot off if it wasnt for black gold Muslim dictators would to.( Another idea for the billion or so bucks we have spent in Iraq!!!!) they are far from being like you and I We dont blow each other up. I cant stand(hate would be a far better word) hearing some religious idiot preach from a box but does that mean i go to a church and blow it up??? (awnser is no) you guys complain day in and day out about the democrats but i havnt heard of any car bombs going off at the Dem. National Convention or vise versa. During world war 2 americans fought around and next to people of every ethnic race possible, There discriptions of the people of the middle east? Sly,dishonest snakes who would smile in your face then rob/stab you and there brother, mother, sister as soon as a back was turned. If you would like to compare your self to them fine but please stop there. Im not saying all are like that but from what Ive seen living in NYC and from what I have read coming from the mouths of some fine soilders. i have to wonder. We as Americans are far far far from being anything like them. Swamp hunter you said thats the argument dems always make? never having an awnser okay here we go Alt. Fuels(this is a two sided sword because it would also take care of the middle east) Education Healthcare Enviroment Home Land Sec. There are 4 from left field, spread spread that 20billion or whatever it is there and i think it has been FAR better spent. so i guess im not done with this post after all.
  12. Re: Homebrews Thank you much guys, i have really wanted to get a couple cams ever since my parents bought there Iowa farm, sounds like the homebrew is the way to go......ill keep this short because there will def. be more questions coming.

If you want shoot me a pm and ill give you her email address for more pointed questions.

    Wanna ride??

Re: Wanna ride?? I remember when the millenium force came out 5 years ago (the one in the back ground first pic) i thought that was scary, looks so small and child-like next to that thing.
  15. Re: Iran found to be supply Iraqi militias this will be my last post on this, i agree with most of what your saying. It seems like we have spent a Toooon of money on a big mess when im sure we all could put our heads together and find a better way to spend that money here at home.
  16. Re: Anyone have these... [ QUOTE ] Ruth, anything by Charles Meck is going to be a great resource for fishing in your area...he's the man, read as many of his books as you can. They're all geared towards fly fishing the Northeastern U.S. [/ QUOTE ] ahh im so proud..muggs stepping up to the plate.
  17. Re: Super Bowl.....who could care less?? [ QUOTE ] Who's not watching??? [/ QUOTE ] I watched but couldnt care less........the pats and osu lost......football stunk this year
  18. Re: Iran found to be supply Iraqi militias good stuff strut
  19. Re: Benelli SBE2 True chris and i bought my benelli before the X2 came out, where my argument lies in the fat that the only time i feel like a need a semi or want one is in the deer woods or duck blind, to spots where i spend alot of time in mud, water, snow you know what i mean. I HATE having the benelli out in those spots. Its a dream to carry in the uplands all day but its to nice of a gun to punish IMO. I have over shot the lock time on the benneli twice on quail. My Benneli is somthing i want to pass down to my kids if possible i love the gun that much, so i wind up carrying the pump for the dirty work.
  20. Re: Iran found to be supply Iraqi militias [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Great president please show us what he has done in office that makes him a "great" president. [/ QUOTE ] ...Have you looekd at any of the economic indicators lately??? ...He took the war on terror to the terrorists. ...He single-handedly brought a genocidal dictator to justice (at the hands of his own people) ...He thumbed his nose at the Kioto Protocol ...He lowered taxes (see "economic indicators" above) ...He allowed the sun to set on the clinton Gun Ban. ...He has kept the U.S. soil free of terrorist attacks for 5 1/2 years. ...He kept Al Gore & John Kerry out of the Oval Office. ...He doesn't keep an intern under his desk. ...If I listed a thousand things, you libs would still blame him for global warming, malaria, starvation, diharrea, acne, hurricanes and post-nasal drip. [/ QUOTE ] lol........registered republican

    Hevi 13

Re: Hevi 13 [ QUOTE ] Be sure to check the velocity on your Hevi 13 loads. A lot of them only run 1050 fps. That should make a dandy paper target pattern. But I'd like my turkey loads moving a bit faster. [/ QUOTE ] Just wondering why strut?? im going to guess range? you would think even though slow there going slow they still would hit plenty hard.
  22. Anyone whilling to give out some info on how you make ur homebrew cameras, is it cheaper than buying a trail cam set up?

  24. Re: Benelli SBE2 [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] The cheapest I have seen them around here was at Dick's sporting goods for $1,200 on sale. I usually see them around $1,300 to $1,400 in camo. Archerjg [/ QUOTE ] That's about the ballpark, right there. If your mind's made up, that's fine. If it's not.......go look at a Super X2. You'll have the fastest cycling semi-auto on the market (don't tell Tom Knapp, but his claybitd record is toast). You'll also have a terrifically balanced and flawlessly functioning gun as well. Plus you'll have between $500 and $700 left over for ammo. [/ QUOTE ] We dont agree on much but the mans got it right here. Ive shot both and really really Like the X2 i dont really have a use for a semi but if i was going to get one it would be a winchester. Tom Knapp isnt very happy about that record either.
  25. Re: new tactical turkey guns that are out [ QUOTE ] I SHOT THE MOSSBERG TACTICAL 12 GAGE WITH THE RETRACTABLE BUTT STOCK. I WOULD SAY THAT IT KICKS LIKE A MULE, THERE IS NOTHING BETWEN YOUR SHOULDER AND THE GUN BUT A BUFFER PLUG AND SPRING.AND I WAS SHOOTING A 3IN SHELL...DONT EVEN WONT TO THINK ABOUT A 3 1/2. [/ QUOTE ] Dido I shot the 535 version a couple weeks ago, KICK dosnt describe the word. it was a 3 1/2" turkey load and i would say its more on the lines of being hit by a bus. I like things that make BIG bangs with big bullets but that was a little much. in the same outing i had a chance to shoot .375 h&h double rifle. I think id rather shoot a turkey with it.
