Glad that storm stayed out of maryland,,, We got nothing but rain here in baltimore..... Sure wouldnt want to be the one that had to clean them cars off .....
You said the doe's crossed between them and a HOUSE and they were shooting in the direction of the house. How far away was the house? who owns the house? Did the owners know that the slobs were shooting in the direction of their house? If not i would inform them. Maybe, Just maybe if you push the subject with the home owner dnr might do something...... Did you inform DNR of this?
Its that good, A great product as a matter of fact. I had a button buck come within 15 feet of me , and another spike at 5 yds.
I only hunt from the ground btw .......
I picked up a 4 in 1 parka with the realtree ap hd camo pattern and this pattern is fabulous. Now keep in mind i hunt from the ground when using my bow and rifle. I was setup in a creek bottom kneeling down, with my right shoulder against a tree. I had a button buck come within 15 feet of me and not even see me. I sat there and watched him for a few minutes before iw whistled at him. He then started looking left and right and finally turned to his left, jumped once then casually walked away. the day before i had another encounter with the same results. I would have to say that this pattern gets 2 thumbs up from me..........
When required i'll wear just a hat this saturday I have never had a problem taking a deer while wearing orange and using my bow. Just remember to keep yourself in check and no quick head movements, Use your eyes . Since i hunt on public land that is bow only, and am pretty far from any neighboring farms. You can bet i'll be out saturday , weather is turning a little colder now.
Here in maryland, i'm seeing more big scrapes and alot more rubs.... Still seeing the smaller bucks chasing doe's,,,, i think this week through the next 2 weeks should be great....... especially since the temps are getting low in the morning. was in the 30's here this morning.
Happened to me once,,,, when i first got my climber, the bottom fell out from under me, fell a couple of feet and the harnes caught me. ribs were a little sore. wrapped my legs around the tree, had to cut my harness and slowly climb down. After i rested for a minute, i used the bottom portion to climb up again, and bring everything down. needless to say i finished my day on the ground.
I sprayed mine down with acorn fall cover scent, grabbed a bunch of leaves and dumped everything in a large pile on the ground. Left it there for a couple of nights when i first got it....
It's been pretty warm here also......... we broke a record yesterday... 91 degress......... cold front comming in for the weekend. temps in the 40's at night by friday......... you know where i'll be saturday ..
I've hunted there alot,,,, Go deep in the woods and find the thick area's, I've seen big bucks roaming in area's like that due to the pressure of hunters and people using the area for bicycling walking, etc. etc. Hunt the streams that feed the reservoir for doe's. I know of a spot that i've seen deer between 11 - 1pm everytime i go.... But i aint giving that up ....... LOL
Watch out for park bounderies and crossing onto private home owners land.
Re: Has anybody ever seen an albino doe or buck alive?
I've seen a piebald buck, nice big rack on him also .... Just watched him though, didnt even think about drawing on him .....
Re: Getting some
