    Moon pics

Nice pics! The moon was huge tonight!
  2. For the loop on the end. Just tie on a regular leader, then after your about done with that leader. Cut it and add your own loop, with about 2-3 inches of the old leader at the end of the fly line. This will not float very well, but you will be able to change leaders like having a fly line with the loop.
  3. I am waiting for my supplies to arrive at my door. In the mean time I thought I would make up my on version, but I am very sure somebody else has done this same fly! The camera has taken away the iridescent of the mylar wraps over the red thread. But you should see how this things reflects the light! I decided to wrap the thorax in peacock hurl and not add the wing case. I did put a wing case on the first one, it smashed the hurl down too much for my liking.

    Brrrr!

    I can't wait for SPRING!!!
  5. My mother's cousin had one about 15-20 feet long! Even had a steering mechanism on the front. Don't have a clue where she ever bought it or where it went. LOL! All I know that thing was HUGE!!! Never used it though, nobody had the means of pulling it up any hills at the time! Not sure about the hat thing! :turned:
  6. Cool! I was just at Cabela's tonight! Got a $160 pair of neoprene chest waders for $22!!! On sale for $140($148 with the tax), I had $75 in gift cards, $31 in Cabela's points, and a $20 off a purchase card!

    Line weight

What he said! What I found out with mono, if you go too small it tends to burry itself. Causing casting issues! 12-17 pound mono, with 14 pound working the best on my casting reels.
  9. I own the Three Forks rod, I like it so far! I have the combo with the Prestige reel. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20431-cat20433-cat20457&id=0051114320440a&navCount=3&podId=0051114&parentId=cat20457&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=IA&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20457&hasJS=true
  10. Yeah, but I am not paying to see ads for ED and any other sexually oriented ads they just throw in there! They lost my business, and if the others follow, they will too!
  11. Field & Stream is now on my DON'T RENEW LIST!!! What are these people thinking?!?!? I mean kids are not stupid, if they see these ads and sneak on a computer somewhere. I used to get 10-15 magazines a month! Hunting, fishing, photography, motorcycles and a few others. I am done with any that want to place ads like this in the future! Ads like this I guess have their place somewhere, but not in a hunting or fishing magazine!!!

    Cancer update

Glad to see things are getting better for you Steve! Keep fighting it!!!
  13. I had it! Any magazine from now on that shows an ad for adam & eve or any other company like this. Not going into details here. Is no longer coming to my door! My daughter looks at my magazines, from which at one time I thought were very safe to lay around the house! Not anymore! Instead of asking me what this ad was for she my wife. This is crazy! ED ads and everything related to that problem. Where does it end! I am afraid to see what will be in these magazines in the future! :bang:
  14. Happy Birthday Mike! I still owe you that beer if you ever get back in the area! Could be a case till you get back though! LOL!
  15. My condolences to you and your family William.
  16. Sure! Something that is traveling at 18,500 MPH or faster has got to be influential on our tiny little planet.

    GPS

Garmin GPSMAP 60 CSx, I had an eTrex Vista but the 60 CSx is the best. I use it in the car, truck, boat, and in the woods! Very good signal under heavy tree cover too!

    Fishing Vest

Hmmmmm! That sounds like a plan!!! Heard a lot about that river while doing searches on line.
  19. Bushnell and Scoutguard are made by the same company, Boly Media Company (BMC). The piece is a day time filter used for the digital photos. This moves away once the IR is activated. Here is the review my boss at work showed me. A lot of good info all about trail cams! http://www.trailcampro.com/bushnelltrophycamvsscoutguardsg550.aspx
  20. LMBO!!! I can get the same cam for $157 after searching the net! All I need now is a little overtime! Unless Cabela's comes up with a good deal! ;) Good luck with your quest!
