Re: Old mulie rack thats a big buck, nice work
  8. Re: Not for weak stomach! I hunt with a .243. I have never lost a deer with that rifle, and bucks here are commonly 300+ lbs. Thats just a waste of meat in my opinion.
  9. Re: good deer hunting spot Saskatchewan or Alberta in the forest fringe.
  10. Re: Major Skull Fracture Wow, great find. That had to be painful for that deer.
  11. Well, my father and I are looking into buying into a subdivision in the forest fringe, with access to a full section of prime forest. It's loaded with high numbers of huge whitetails and big bears. I was wondering if anyone knows the exact regulations and guidelines in terms of Canadians outfitting Canadians in Canada. This would potentially be 8-12 hunters a year. Not sure wether it would just be a Canadian Resident tag and you're good to go, or if an outfitters liscence is needed. This is basically just a thought right now, but potentially would be a lot of fun. Does anyone know about these regulations?
  12. Re: Lets get a Realtree Forum Total 85-90 sheds, 6 heads
  13. Re: Some Neat Pics of The Lake nice pics, nice lake
  14. Re: Same buck?? I'd say it is. I picked up a set of sheds last spring, and a buddy of mine shot that deer last fall, and his antlers were basically exactly the same one year after. The buck in those pics has the same mark on its shoulder 2 years later. without a doubt the same deer.
  15. Re: IowaDeerHunter-A Great GUY!!!!! great news, i still havent seen these pics, and im excited to see them.
  16. Re: 167 set pic Nice sheds. I love findin them in the fields like that, cuz they dont get eaten up by rodents. Theres nothin better than a nice big dark fresh set of sheds. congrats

  20. http://www.punchbaby.com/media/gitfakt/clips/TV/bashcanada.wmv I sure dont like it, what does the average american think of it? Just wondering.
  21. Re: Canada Bashing, What Do You Think? Hey guy with the stupid bow-tie... I will fight you. That is no lie. haha, typical ignorant American. Honestly, I can not comprehend how that guy is still alive talking like that. wow, americans suck at hockey
  22. Re: Cold Weather Clothing Well, theres always the obvious. Heavy coat, hand/foot warmers, fleece. But I use a product called Underarmour. It wicks away sweat from the skin, which in turn helps you forget about overdressing. I love it in the spring when I go looking for sheds, because i always overdress, and with underarmour, you dont have to worry about the (post-sweat-freeze-stage). www.underarmour.com
  23. Re: how long? They'll shed anywhere from the same time, to 2 days apart. We have scouted one this year that dropped them 40-48 hours apart. I was amazed. I have never heard of them hangin on that long.
  24. Re: Nice Sheds! For those of you that havent found any, it takes a lot of hard work and perseverance. My father and I go looking every weekend in the spring and late winter, and we spend 10-12 hours walking some days. Even when youre looking for sheds, you can bump into great stand locations, see wildlife, and have a great time in the outdoors in general. Theres more to it than just finding sheds, its having a good time. My father and I sometimes sit down and have a campfire in the middle of the forest in the afternoon while looking. I could easily say I enjoy it more than deer hunting itself. Keep working at it, and at times it takes more hard work than hunting, but its a great time with family and friends in the spring. Dont be afraid to ask questions and get some tips here and there. Theres a lot of experienced shed hunters in these forums.
  25. Re: The Crown Buck That was probably an antlered doe. I've seen a few in magazines, etc. and in most cases, antlered does look like that. and no balls kinda adds to the equation.
