Re: Unusual Deer Growths? At our annual horn scoring night there was a deer with a pedicle????(where the antler grows from) right in the middle of his forehead. Unfortunately, the antler busted off during the course of the season. Mr. Unicorn would have probably killed many a deer during playtime!

Re: baiting/ feeding deer Up here I use second cut alfalfa and oats. After talking with some of the outfitters I'm going to use peas as well.

Re: A Beautiful Horny Night in Saskatchewan Nope, mine netted out at 185 1/2 inches as a non-typ. Grossed 192 1/8. There is pics in the Deer forum and Bushman's Hawg. Here is another pic I have on the comp.

Re: TEAM 15 Just got back from our Horn Scoring night in town. My buck officially nets 185 1/2 Non typ. Grosses at 192 1/8th. The amazing thing is that he is a 4 x 4. Here are some measurements...7 1/4 bases, 26 main beams, 14 g2 and spread of 22 inches. I'm a lucky guy.

Went to our annual horn scoring night in Meadow Lake. A lot of big deer fell this year. Many deer over 160". Here are some of the pics. Enjoy.

Re: How big does he have to be? My goal next year is a 5 x 5 Booner. I love mass and junk but a clean typical that is 170 plus is on the top of my list. I'll know the deer when I see it!

Re: What do you think this bad boy goes?? 140 inches of bone would be my guesstimate. Hopefully you see him again. If not, no worries, he'll be bigger next year.

Re: When do you put up your tree? It'll be Christmas Tree time this coming weekend. Almost always the first weekend after deer season closes. Merry Christmas everybody.

Re: How many deer did you see? Some of the fields I hunt will have more than 20 deer in them a night while others will have 5. Throughout the season (Oct. and Nov.) I'll probably see well over 300 deer. I think my doe to buck ratio however is way out of whack. 15 : 1. I think I may even be conservative in my ratio! Superguide and Saskman will correct me if I'm wrong!!!

Re: Survey Question During the summer I do a lot of BBQing with venison. < 30% venison, rest is beef, pork and chicken.

Re: Sask. Super Saturday!!!! Superguide, You should see my trophy wall at school. It is incredible the amount of bone that has accumulated up there this year. Great season for our young hunters.

Re: 2005 Trophy Album I downed this brute Sat. morning. I was actually lining up on a 150" 5 x 5 when he walked out from behind a bale. There was no question in my mind. He grosses 192 with 14 scoreable points. Bases are greater than 7 inches. What a hawg of a deer!!
