  1. Re: TEAM 15 Here's a pic. I've spent over 10 hours in my garage over the last 3 days. Never gets old. Another 19 points for us. Go Team!!!
  2. Re: Climbing Stands Another option you might be interested in is the Summit 180. You can sit in front of the tree or have the tree in front of you. Great camo and a solid rest. Pricey though!
  3. Re: How rare are double main beam bucks? My hunting buddy just took a double main beam buck out of our stand. Not the largest deer but that other main beam makes great character. First one I have ever seen.

  6. Re: Bushman\'s HAWG Sask. Whitetail!!! Number1Young1, both Saskman and I don't own any land...YET. We just have some very kind land owners.
  7. Re: Bushman\'s HAWG Sask. Whitetail!!! Thanks Saskman for posting the pics.
  8. Re: Lucky Whopper 2005 Pictures are under Bushmans Hawg. Thanks Gunner.
  9. Re: TEAM 15 Bushman here. I just shot a whopper...191". It has 14 scoreables. Saskman is going to post the pics in the Deer room. I'll enter it as soon as I get my pics back.
  10. I downed a brute of a deer this morning. Scores 191 non-typical. Is a main frame 4 x 4 with 1 dropper. Really quite a short story with this one...went to a field to shoot my doe this morning, got set up and the landowner walked in. I told him where my blind was and that he should sit there if he wanted a good buck. I went to the truck and thought I would drive to my other stand. I went a mile and a half to this field where lots of does frequent. WOW! Good buck. Nice clean 5 x 5. Got out of my truck and got ready to smoke him when out of the corner of my eye that dandy non-typical started trotting from behind some bails. No question...boom! In the next hour I saw the CO's, some other hunters, and I stopped by Saskmans place. Saskman put the tape to him and we came up with 191". I'll post more after the pics are posted by Saskman.
  11. Re: TEAM 15 Rutbusters sounds good. I forgot to introduce myself...my name is Doug, i'm a teacher and live in some of the premier deer country in the world. That being said I have'nt found a way this year to outsmart a wily old buck...YET! Lots of sightings just nothing in range of the old musket. Doug
  12. Re: Muzzleloader buck fromlast night (PICS) Great buck Gunner. I'll have to slip on out and take a gander. You set the bar high again this year. Way to go:)
  13. Re: TEAM 15 Went out for the first time with the old cannon...lots of does and 3 bucks in the 140 range. I'm waiting on 2 deer though that I picked up sheds from last spring. Hopefully i'll add to our score this weekend. Good luck folks.
  14. Re: TEAM 15 Bushman looking forward to the season start in 2 days!!
  15. Re: triple seven clean up I went to the range and shot 20 times using 2 wet patches and then 2 dry every 3rd shot. It loaded well and shot well but when I went to take the breech plug out I had to hammer on my wrench. Next time I'll take the breech out at 10 and do my 2 and 2 right through the gun. I love 777 especially when I cleaned her at home, so easy.
  16. Re: elite 3200 or aetec? Both scopes have done their job for me but my preference would be the 3200. Optics are great, lifetime warranty and for some reason the 3200 gives me more confidence. That being said I have no plans on replacing my Simmons any time soon but when I do it will be with a 3200.

    Big 8 Pointer

Re: Big 8 Pointer Love to see a pic of that monster. Your measurements sound exactly like the eight point I shot in 2003. They are all within 1/2 inch. What you got there is a WOW deer. Congrats!
  19. Re: Buying a Climber Thanks for the input peoples. My Summit Goliath is on the way:)
  20. I am buying a climbing tree stand in the next couple of weeks and would like to know everyone's take on the best climber for a big guy. Gotta be sturdy because I don't like heights. Thanks for the info peoples.
  21. Just wondering what guys have found when they do their post season scout. I saw tons of deer during the season but I was not in very good position 90% of the time. I went scouting this past weekend and found 3 super highways about 100 yards away from where I had set up. I now know where I will set up my stand in early season!!! Only 10 months away.
  22. How many of you go fishing or hunting and that night when you go to bed all you can see when you shut your eyes is deer and fish? Craziest thing but the deer keep getting bigger and dumber in my dreams therefore I have run out of wall space for all my booners!!!...in my dreams!!
  23. Re: Mrs.Sasksheds X-Mas Tree(pics) That might be one tree I would buy at the Saskatoon Festival of Trees in Saskatoon. Christmas time is a time to celebrate everything good about life and that tree shows it. Well done!
  24. Just arrived home with our newest hunter. 8lb 3oz baby boy named Tristan. What an amazing experience. I tell you, when he arrived at 4 in the morning my whole outlook on life changed. The little troubles in life sure don't mean that much anymore!!
