Here are some pics of some diff European Mounts. I did most of them but not all. I did invent & start my own business to sell the bracket that holds them off the wall. "The Euro Mounter", allows you to turn your mount left or right depending on the angle & view of your mount that you want. My web link is @ the bottom under my signature. Check out my site & email there to let me know what you think. Hope you like the pics. My wt from last year My buddies Bear My Brother's Muledeer My Buddies Antelope

We can hunt there it's just the drive, gas, hotel rooms etc... Now that we have Sunday hunting here in Saskatchewan it might be worth the drive for a 2 day hunt. Alot of our shed hunting is done on private ranches down south. We have to travel 3-5 hours to make it worth while. There is just to much competitoin closer to town, even on posted land. Seems we have unethical shed hunters that will do anything for an antler. Spoils it for all of us.

Here they are Boys & Girls. 22 years of ground pounding & I have found my new pers. best match set of whitetail antlers. It doesn't get much better than this. The old boy was laying on the south end of the bluff soaking up the sun in late Dec. or early Jan. & dropped them in his bed. I am blessed to be able to enjoy the outdoors & even more so to have a loving wife that comes along to share it with me. We are truly BEST FRIENDS. I'll dedicate this post to her. I love you LEXY!!!!

I still dont believe it !!! & I'm very sorry but this is a HUGE tease. I picked up my new pers. best set of Whitetail sheds. They were laying on top of each other!!!! I have horse shoes I know. But those who know us also know that we put in the time & $ to pursue our passion. We travel all over Saskatchewan on our adventures & between the gas & hotels rooms it adds up pretty quick. The atl's are on my buddies camera. When I get them I'll post them. What a way to end the season.

Thanx, nice to know you'll be thinkin of me. It means more than any of you know. My buddy's Dad through a clot 2 months ago after a simple surgery, 56 years old. he didnt make it. It was a tuff one. Thanx again Cam

I have only one week left to pound the ground for bone. I just got the call yesterday with a surgery date for my ankle. I go in next thurs. I've had it scraped & cleaned out before about 6-8 years ago but it has gotten worse. I need to have it opened up & done again. He is going to try & round off the front of the bone so it moves better & doesnt lock up. There may be some ligament damage that needs some work. I'll try & get a group pic of the years finds before I go in. It's been another GREAT year. Just hope the ankle will be 100% for hunting season.

The guys know the area & the Elk. They told me that another guy picked up the other side fresh a couple of years ago. Also that a girl had shot this bull. My buddies & other guys had prob walked by this antler lots of times. 2 weeks ago when we were in there it would have been covered in snow.

Ive been doing some shed hunting with some new friends of mine. They called me up & asked me to go look for sheds with them. So of course I was in & as usual pretty pumped up about it. I scored on my first ever Elk shed. I couldn't believe my eyes. I thought they were playing tricks on me. As I got closer I let out a yell & everyone came over to have a look & take pictures. It's pretty big. The guys said it would be a 350 class elk. It's got 8 points. Hope you like the pics & the SMILE on my face!!!

I lucked out & found this & 13 other sheds the other day. I was trying hard to make it a 20 shed day. I failed miserably. I guess this will have to do.lol. Hope you enjoy the pics & yes I am dreaming of & looking hard for the other side but it is from last year & could be long gone.

Yup AWSOME job. Check out my web link for a different way of mounting it. I think you'll like it. let me know what you think?

To late this year but do some pre season scouting & find out where they are wintering & feeding. Keep checking back often & study their patterns. In the spring move in & follow the trails, check the bedding & feeding areas by walking a grid. The south side of hills & bushes are hot spots. litterly, the snow goes there first & attracks the deer. Good luck!

Mrs. Sasksheds & I found this set 2 years ago. I think most of you have seen it? I forget what they scored. Those of you that know me on here also know that I dont really care.lol. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Thanx guys. We really enjoy reading the comments. I dropped my camera in the snow 2 weeks ago. It is now a very good card reader.lol. I'm waiting for a new one. Until then the pics will have to wait. But I promise you will get them.

Ive been holding out for some time & it's been driving me crazy. I've gotten so I dont like posting any pics until I've got my areas picked over. Just to protect them from the"LURKERS". Lots of competition around here in some of my areas. I hope you guys enjoy the pic & think it was worth the wait!!! Mrs. Sasksheds & our niece found the right side & I found the left 3 days later almost 2 miles away. It is her new pers. best Typ. Mule deer. Sorry about the mess on the floor. During shed season thats just how it goes.lol. If you look close you can see her biggest non-typ. laying in a heap behind me.

I started smoking when I was young. I was HOOKED when I was 11 years old. Yes 11 years old. Small town Saskatchewan you did what everyone else was doing to fit in. I also started drinking @ 11. Hockey, curling, booze & smokes went with everything esp. if you wanted to be one of the guys. I finally quit smoking when I was 23. I wanted to make a life change. Something that I could do to make my life better. So I started with quitting smoking. I would go to bed everynight wishing & praying that I could quit smoking & change my life for the better. But because I wanted to, not anybody else. That's a huge factor. I always kept my smokes on me or within reach. I read that it helped to keep them available. As not to be stressed out that you didnt have any. Showers curved cravings but what really helped was chewing sunflower seads one @ a time. Just like you were taking a drag off of a smoke. It was a habbit thing that kept my fingures busy & my mind occupied. It wasn't easy. They compare nicotine addiction to Heroin & its true. I would wake up @ night laying flat on my back trying to suck in all the smoke that was rising from around my bed. Ya funny now but not then. I hope this helps & I really hope you can quit. Have faith in yourself & if it's your thing, pray. It got me through. Good luck.

I got this pic today of a 32lb Northern Pike caught @ Blackstrap Lake here in Saskatchewan. The guy caught it last day of ice fishing through an 8 in hole & 3ft of ice. The Rainbow beside it was caught @ Diefenbaker Lake & just put there as a comparison. A friend of mine caught a 32lb+ pike out of the same lake in 1986. It use to be the world record through the ice but since has been beaten. The guy that caught this did not have it officially weighed & supp. cut it up & canned it?????
-
WICKED !!!! Congrats, I know how you must have felt. You just cant beat that feeling. Thanx for the pics.
