Alexis & I spent a week up in Northern Sask. @ our lake.We had some of the best trout fishing ever.We caught Brown trout just under 5 lbs.Tiger trout 3.8 lbs & rainbow trout just under 5 lbs.All were caught on our fly rods.We caught smaller ones & lost bigger. But we'll be back on them in Sept.We hope you enjoy the pics.

We went on a week holidays without a truck thanx to a drunk driver.Thankfully I have a quad up north & some awsome neighbors. They lent us their porta boat to pack on our little car.We have a good electric motor & battery so off we went.As you can all see I got my butt KICKED yet once again by Mrs.Sasksheds on the fishing deal! This Rainbow was just shy of 5lbs.She lost a bigger one 10 min before she landed this one.I did have some on but lost them all.Ya,ya,right.A good start for us.Hope it gets better. These are "land locked trout" here in northern Saskatchewan.Hope you enjoy the pics & GOOD Fishing!

  12. Congrats Swampy. How'd you like the snow? I was thinking of you when we got up north.Turns out I could have hooked up with you on the way home.May 13th on the way home from the lake we were hit head on by a drunk driver. We made it through all right but will be pretty stiff & soar for a month or 2.But for now we are truckless so we stayed home this weekend.I almost headed for the airport Sat but I had no clue when your flight was leaving.Oh well Im glad you had a great time.
  13. Mrs.Sasksheds & I were on our way back from the lake last Sunday when a drunk driver slammed into us head on.We were coming across a narrow bridge & just about to exit when he came speading onto the bridge, lost control, hit the rail on his side & bounced head on into us.He was driving a little Nissan sports car & we were in our Chev. Silverado. Both vehicles are totalled. We are alright, just bruised & soar all over.Heres some pics.Notice the engine pushed up & back into the firewall. Also our air bags didnt go off.Im looking into why not.
