  1. in my old thread.Check out my 5sheds ... thread.
  2. He might look something like this... I rattled him in right under my stand. I passed on him early in Oct. His left antler was all buggered up but wasnt broken yet.He broke off what could have been a double main beam. I wasnt going to let him go a second time. While butchering him my friend found a blade off a mechanical broad head in his right front shoulder.Must have been from last year. He was perfectly healthy & no signs of being hurt. I shot him about 300 yards from where I found the sheds.
  3. Great find.It will be another month or 2 around here.
  4. Do you have any pics? Will you ship to Canada. Are the bibs insulated?
  5. a plaque mount for a guy here in Saskatchewan. He says that it is going to be in Big Buck Magazine. It is a non-Typ Muley that gross scores in the 230's & nets 214ish non-typ.Very nice deer.I'll let you know if the pics show up in the mag.
  6. Lucky for you.Ive seen them hit like that & the antler go flying. My freinds brother hit one closer to the skull & dropped him flat.It stood back up & he made a good shot. When we walked up to it we could see the hole right through the antler.Cool, congrats again.
  7. Looks very good. From the pic you can tell he put in the extra time & work on the nose & eyes.Congrats!
  8. p.s. Is that a bullet hole in the main beam on yours?
  9. Great animals.Congrats to all 3 of you.
  10. The wife & I went out for a walk in one of the places that I hunt.I wanted to chain up my stand. We had a good visit with the land owner then went for our hike.On the way back I suggested cutting through this one bluff & check for sheds.I had found them in there before in prev. years but hadnt checked it this last spring. Now Im wishing I had.I found 5 sheds including 1 big 4 point.I will be back in there next sun looking for the other side.Hope you enjoy the pics!
  11. Just dont get to agressive. The bucks are only sparing right now & trying to figure each other out.I saw a buck trying to chase a doe last night. She wouldnt have anything to do with him.

Im putting this in the lounge just cuzz it seems the most popular place.Seems like the other threads dont get veiwed as much.So move it if you want.We had a great pheasent hunt on the weekend.Actually the best I have ever had.We hunted in Southern Saskatchewan.I think we wore the pore pups out.Again all our hunts are do it yourself,on private land with land owner permission or puplic land.Hope you enjoy the pics.
  13. Congrats.Sounds like you had a great time.Ive been a few times but never had the chance to pull the trigger.
  14. Very tragic & sorry to here. This happened to us while sitting over decoys here in Saskatchewan. We didnt get shot @ but were about to.A van dropped guys off all around the field then proceeded to charge our decoy & blind set up with the van.We stood up before a gun came out the window & started shooting. They did a quick pick up & were gone.We never got the plate #.
  15. Yup @ the Consoul Hilten ! 25 $ a night.Room #6.Nice & clean & cozy.Great hamburgers in the cafe down stairs!
  16. Here are some pics of Dad & our buddy Eric with there antelope.Hope you enjoy. Eric with his, above Dad with his above. Not to many trees in that part of the country so the deer rub their antlers on fence posts. Here is a nice group pic including my good buddy Perry that we took along for a weeks holiday.
  17. My dad & good freind Eric were drawn for antelope this year. Here in Saskatchewan that is like winning the lottery. We were drawn in a zone that is along the Sask,Alberta & Montana border.Great country & Dad knew it well.He & Eric had hunted there before & had some good contacts. They made the treck down in Aug to get permission from the ranchers. All 3 of us took a nice buck with our muzzle loaders . I was lucky to bag one that we had spotted Sat. & Sun. When we saw him I knew that we had to try for him first thing mon. His one horn is over 15 in & the other just under if not close. His horns almost touch & carry mass all the way to the ivory tips.Other than that I havnt had him scored. P.S. All our hunting trips are do it yourself,un-guided,on private property with land owner permission or public land.
  18. Good luck & have a safe trip.Im off to hunt antelope with my muzzle loader for a week in the south west corner of Saskatchewan.Drawing a tag here is like winning the lottery these days.If we finish early we will be heading way up north for a moose that Dad was drawn for.Once again good luck!
  19. Thanx,I think I have it dialed in.I hope to post pics soon.
  20. The kids were all in the van.The wolves came right up the road & stopped for a pee beside the van & then kept going. What a Saskatchewan Northern experience.I bet the kids will never forget it.Beats a classroom in my books any day!
  21. The kids from school here went on a field trip up into northern Saskatchewan. They got some cool pics of a pair of wolves. Not the best quality but hope you enjoy.
  22. I would be 1 & half hours aprox. north of Prince Albert. What is your Bro-in-law doing in P.A. If he loves hunting & fishing Prince Albert is an awsome place to live.A little small for a city but good location.Where were they before? I go through PA every weekend on the way up to the lake.I live in Saskatoon. If your ever coming up give me a shout Id be glad to take you guys out & show you some good fishing holes.
  23. Does anyone in here use it? I have an Encore 50 cal. I have been using 777 but I dont like the fouling it is causing.A freind gave me some of Shocky's Gold? How much powder should I use.I use a 44 cal,240 gr rem. pistol bullet & sabbott.I use to use 90 grains of 777.I want to shoot out to 200 yds.Thanx for the info. Cam
