I could go either way. Tooth wear can vary quite a bit.

They act like they hate me. One thing I can say is when they are in the mood it seems easy, but when they aren't it can be real frustrating. I have had as many birds come in without making a peep as the ones that come in gobbling. I don't think the birds are that much different than in other areas. The fairly high population helps a lot though.

Congrats to her on that real nice buck. That scoped cracked me up when I seen it.

Ya I guess that makes sense. Just my luck. Where did you find a deal on an AR? I don't know anyone who can even get them, let alone for a decent price.
-
Sounds like a nice price on that Kimber. Seems handguns are in high demand yet I've had very little interest in the two I'm trying to sell. I think I've got decent prices on them. Where do you think I should list them at besides here on Realtree? I need to pick up more ammo but I need to figure out if I'm going with a .40 or a .45.

Welcome back. I haven't been able to see your new show but I will once it is out on DVD. I have heard nothing but good things about the Bone Collector show.

Eaa Witness .40 polymer frame 4" barrel and 15 round mag Also has a case, two cleaning brushes and a trigger lock. This is my pistol and I have decided to sell it and get the same thing but in stainless. So I guess if you have one and would like to trade I could do that. It has 38 rounds fired through it. It shoots about six inches low at fifteen yards with 165gr bullets. Asking $425 shipped. Will only ship to FFL holder. Here are a few pics, sorry for the quality.

Awesome buck. I thought it was illegal to pick up deer racks in Illinois. I had heard sheds were okay but not from dead deer. Just think if you shot that deer and couldn't find it and then somebody else found it. You would hurt twice.

It just seems like the latex stretches and then doesn't go back after it dries. So I quit even trying to dry them and started storing them in the 50/50 mix between seasons. I do bend the calls a little bit. If I don't they hurt my mouth after a while. But even if they are still good and tight when I put them in my mouth they end up loose and wavy after I practice with them. Then after I re-stretch them I have no problems. I can't use those "Sonic Dome" style calls at all because they tear up the roof of my mouth. Anyone else?

I've had real god luck with my Moultrie I40. Takes nice pics. Daytime are better than night naturally. I had one set of batteries last from April until December. They still had some life left but it was going to get real cold and I'm not going to check the camera for quite a while so I changed them just to be sure. The only complaints I can think of are slow reaction time (it may be just as good as good as other brands but it just seems a little slow to me) and the mounting strap and strap loops are pretty crappy. First I broke the strap snap so I tried to use a ratchet strap and broke the flimsy plastic when I tightened it. I ended up getting a mount that bolted to the bottom that works great though.

Between me, my parents, my sisters family, and my brothers family we process all our own deer, beef, and pork. I think we have actually done about 65 deer in the last three seasons alone. We make our own deer sausage and jerky. We get better quality and we don't have to pay about $75 per deer like you would would with a processor. Early and late in the season the butcher shop won't do it at all.
-
I also use the 50/50 mouthwash/water mix. Mine always stretch out and get too loose to sound worth a darn after only practicing with them a few times. So I take them apart and re-stretch them and they sound good and last a long time if I keep them in the mix.

Well the season is over for me. I can think of two shots with the bow I should have taken but didn't and one with the muzzleloader. I also missed a doe with the rifle. She wasn't even that far. I think it has been at least five years since I had a deer season I didn't get anything. I hunted at least three times as many days this season as I did that one though. Good luck to everyone who still has time. Good luck for the upcoming seasons for everyone. -
The rut seemed to be over before gun season but there seems to be a second (third maybe?) rut going on now.

I haven't shot a deer all season. I only have until January 15th to do it with a bow. This has been my worst year ever. -

The one I shot didn't draw as smooth as my Vectrix and it vibrated like a tuning fork in my hand. It was completely bare except for the arrow rest. Now since so many people have been saying such great things about it I have to assume this one was badly out of tune or something. A heavier bow is easier to hold steady but at least with this one you can add weight if you want but you couldn't really take away weight before. I don't see how skinnier limbs are any better. The old ones were always really reliable and I always thought being wide helped make the bow harder to torque. If they end up being just as good then I'm OK with that though.

I would think 18 would be the age to legally own a gun. I mean if you can vote and go into the armed forces you should be able to legally own one.

I was sitting in a gate opening that was just open enough for me to fit. After someone else blew a does back leg off she couldn't jump the fence and ran straight at me. I dropped her at twenty yards. Another time I was also sitting in a gate opening but in a blind and it started raining and wind blowing hard so I shut the windows to keep from getting drenched. After a couple minutes I heard something run by and brush against the blind. After another couple minutes the rain and wind stopped. I looked out the window and could see deer tracks right next to the blind. My brother has been kicked by a deer that was down but trying to run.

I don't know if any of the instructions posted tell this or not but I'll tell you one thing I think is probably most important for getting a good melted ball. When you fray the end use something like a scissors to poke the end and get it nice and big before you melt it.

Good job for her. I'm having a similar season. You do have some big bucks up there. The biggest buck I've personally seen in this area was 235 field dressed ( I thought he was huge) but I've heard of ones up to a little over 300 field dressed. That would be cool to see one in person that went 350 field dressed. I think everybody in my family could eat a couple hundred or more of those Florida deer every year.

Well the weekend before rifle season opened up the bucks were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Then on opening day I saw seven does. My daughter shot one and I missed one. Since then there have been very few deer even seen by anyone. I'm hoping they move better this weekend. -
Wow that's a nice one.
