  7. gives new definition to the words "rump roast"
  8. 3 of my buddies have crotch rockets and they love them. i have driven them a few times and it adds a little more excitement to your commute when you are on 2 wheels. Although they are for sure dangerous and most of the people i know have laid it down, they are fun, especially when you have a face like my ugly mug and need a little help pickin up the ladies:)
  9. i checked out this website called ohiogolfguide.com and they have pretty much every course in ohio. apple valley in howard seems like a pretty good place to go, plus its only about 5 minutes from my place. we could go there for the cookout afterwards. just a thought
  10. Me and my old man picked up tickets to head down to the classic for the first time this summer. For those of you not familiar with the Classic, it is basically a giant 2 day outdoor expo/coutry concert/raffle that gathers folks from all over the U.S. I have friends who go every year and they say that it is an absolute blast. For $100 you get a ticket for both days and a chance to win some of the best prizes out there(trucks, atvs, guns, bows, trips, $$$). Anyone who is interested in going can check out the website http://www.deerassic.com/ CANT WAIT!!!
  11. im definately in tom, just got into golfing last year and im sure im not in the league of Chris and Eric with that beautiful form, but after a few cold ones I probably wont feel so bad. Not gonna lie thought, thats the weekend after jamboree in the hills, might still be recovering but i think ill manage
  12. Hey y'all, I had to sell my bow this past season because the draw length was no longer suitable for a fella of my stature(6'7"). If anyone has or knows of someone with a compound for sale with a >30" draw length please let me know.
  13. Me being from Ohio I will tell you from my experience, Rhino hit it on the head. There are certain areas that birds will roost year in and year out, but then there are some spot where I will find them one morning, and then not see another bird there for the rest of the season. There are certain features that birds will generally prefer to roost over. They like roosting in trees that hang over, or are near water(pond, creek, etc.) or on steep drop offs that gives them a sense of safety. Also, from my experience, they love roosting in pine stands on hillsides.
  14. im in as an alternate...havent visited the site in a while and totally forgot about the sign up...got a bird for my team the past 3 years and would like to do it again!!!!
  15. sorry it took so long finally got the pics uploaded of my doe, she aint much but at least it some points
  16. busted a big doe second day of the shotgun season. my buddy took the pics so it might be a little bit before i can ge the pics up. Ill be holdin out for a buck the rest of the season but 5 points is better than no points, eh??
  17. well i saw quite a few bucks the past 2 weeks but they either wouldnt come that extra 10 yds close enough or were too small. opening day of shotgun season is monday so ill be out and will prolly shoot a doe and then hold out for a good buck the rest of the season. gotta get some meat in that freezer somehow
  18. so i decided to let my old man sit in my stand this past weekend and he stuck a monster 14 pt and couldnt find it. we were thinkin it was a single lung shot cause there was real thin, pink blood and it was sparse. tracked it for 5 hours and about 2 miles till we lost the trail. hopin that big boy is still alive. i saw 19, 10 of which were bucks but nothing i was looking for. saw one nice 8 pt. thatll be a fine shooter next yr. next weekend ill be in my stand and hopefully have the same chance my dad had
  19. well, this past weekend was very eventful for me. saw about 30 in 2 days, one of which was by far the biggest deer i have ever seen in the woods. he was out about 80 yds and i got a real good look at him before he slipped off, but hopefully ill get another chance at him in a few weeks. also saw another nice buck that would probably be about 130". things r looking good for the rest of the season
  20. the banner with each mount would be awesome, but i sure like the one buckee got up there for us. either is fine by me

    Weather!!!!!

im from northeast OH too and i keep sayin im not gonna go out until it "cools down", which, goin at this rate, will be a high of 70
  22. here r some pics of the 10 pt i took 2 seasons ago and a 9 pt from last season..the 10 is my biggest to date but hopefully that will change this yr.
  23. i plan on gettin out next week quite a bit as we have our fall break and it is finally supposed to cool down. the deer have not been movin much with this heat and they have been tough to hunt. my buddy hunted our creek bed yesterday and only saw 1 doe. hopefully they start movin soon, or im gonna have to become a duck hunter
  24. u know what i cant figure out muggsy....y dont they play him at reciever more?? They got Tim Carter in there who has caught what...3 passes this season. i realize that they might be saving him for returns to get a blow but come on, the kid is an unreal athlete, i believe he should definately have a bigger role. and ive also noticed that u, as well as 90% of the national public has neglected to mention the most crucial positions on the team....The OLINE they r postin shutout after shuout as far as sacks go and it goes relatively un noticed. Joe Thomas is probably the best at his position as far as rookies go this yr. and now that we have ryan tucker back, look out!!!!
