i'm glad everyone stayed cool. the police will do their job. i actually don't carry much any more. no particular reason except i carried for 40 years and never once needed it. (thank you , lord)

there are too many shows on now, and i seldom watch. i just go out an do.

before wolves, there used to be 14-18,000 elk on the refuge from jackson north to moran jumction. and, you CAN legally hunt in grand teton national park. you must, of courst, get a license for that area which is usually not that much trouble.

i've been to yellowstone literally dozens of times, in winter, fall and summer. it never gets old. fishing is great, and even better in september. that's when the big cutts will eat about anything you throw at them. the elk in mid september are screaming their lungs out , and life is good.

it seems like a hard weather year all over so far. lots of tornados and extra rain

i've spent tons of time there. you will love it. maybe take a raft trip down the snake river. most certainly fish in yellowstone. good fishing and the permit is free with your enrance fee. so is the camping in the camp grounds. there is a very good chance you will see buffalo, elk, moose, deer and bear. when you leave (or go), use the northeast entrance and head down to red lodge, mt to get onto I-90 east. It's the highest road in america, called the most beautiful,and you may see the mountain goats also. you are about to have the trip of a lifetime.

i hope they are feeling better soon. maybe a bug bite???
