  1. Re: First attempt at photoshop nice improvement on the pic.. While Photoshop is very good for editing and fixing images... I found a cheaper program called Photo Imact XL ( by Unlead systems) that is cheaper, easier to use and a lot faster than Photoshop 7.0 ... If you have numerous images to work, or you are just getting into image manipulation... Stay with it. It can be fun..... It makes a huge difference on how good your images look for the web, ect...

  4. Re: Team Broadheads-N-Bullets I hope to get up to N.Texas this weekend to guide a few more Quail Hunters.... Since we have a contest running I will slip away from my clients and try to pop the 14 pointer I missed last year..(buck fever - Turkey rifle) - On another note, one of our neighbors who is a Texas Trophy Hunter member - shot a monster buck on the opener up there... I have no pictures yet, but it was a 18pt 180 class B&C... - The area of North Texas we hunt has some big deer, but they are rare compared to South Texas... - This pic is from two years ago, this guy shot the number 3 B&C for North America in an 8pt... Nice deer... Good hunting to all!!!!

  8. What a great season we had in North Texas.. We were lucky and fortunate to have heavy doves and that flew strong all season. Met and hunted with some great new folks,,, that like hunting Doves as much as we do... Out of 140 customers over the four day TX opener, each and every person harvested a 15 bird limit! That is 2100 doves on the barbacue!!! Sure was fun...

  15. The Magical \"Hour of Power\" A Texas Dove Legend I am so ready to Dove Hunt , I will share this story with everyone in hopes they like it. We do have a little southern secret down here about dove hunting. Over the years if you hunt doves enough in most any part of our state. You might get to experience at least one special Dove hunting trip that comes close to "a holy grail of dove hunting " so to speak... We call it the "magical hour of power " and let me tell you folks, it will stay in your head for years. When this happens an average shooter (skill wise) can hit a limit of say 12-15 in a hour flat! A good to decent shot ,may be walking back to truck with in 45minutes. Since my Dad is a great shot - he finished- walked to the truck and brought me a cold beer buy the time I had collected all my birds and cased up my gun. We were now offically done! As the west Texas sunset slide off in to the horizon, We just sat on the truck tail gate in awe sipping an ice cold beer watching the sunset fade. Once my excitement turned to appreciation I made the dumbest comment ever," you know Dad Uncle Ray and Scott (my brother) are gonna be very very disapointed they missed this hunt." As I glanced at the truck bed full of Doves a huge smile developed. Well lets go get these doves cleaned and head back to Fort Worth now. Nothing beats the rush you can get while loading and shooting as fast as possible, and the action gets crazy. Meaning normally leary doves just come right over head with out fail. We have hit a few "magical hour of powers" over years, but that one was our very first near Ranger Texas, Brownwood and Coleman County. It was a tylical late season hunt with fresh Northern birds just arriving. A trip where you drive for hours in hopes of a decent day in the field. Some times a few freinds or relatives will choose to stay home to catch cowboys game, versus trucken several miles to hunt. For what ever reason, Dad and I made the trip for a single Sunday hunt, and struck gold. Most old texas dove hunters would say, heck ya justy caught heavy Norther influx, that does happen occasionaly. But I have heard so many similar stories with differnet Dove hunters over the years. I fugure it is time we give these thing a fancy name...And that folks is why I love hunt Doves in Texas. Have safe and happy hunting season. Sunset picture

  18. Re: who\'s ditching school for opening day?? Man I sure miss those days! I'll take a hunting blind over a chalk board any day... Heck Dad, even covered for my brother and I on few occasions... Nothing like going to school the next day with feathers falling out of the hunting coat...
