I just got 32 oz bottle and 12 oz bottle of scent killer for 10 with a 5 dollar rebate at Gander. Over 99 percent effective at Rutgers makes me believe it may be a lil better quality product.

How do you guys get them to cast any distance? I can't get them to throw a lure for anything. I tried 15 lb mono and 8 lb braid and neither would cast more than 20 yds. Tried throwing crankbaits and stickbaits. Friend has the same problem with his. I much prefer spinning reels as of now.

Went out with my buddy Joey to one his farms around 9am. Made a couple calls into a long stretch of woods and heard a gobble way off. So we booked it down the edge and into a old logging road. Set up and started calling, got a immediate response. Kept calling aggresively and about 20 mins later, I catch movement coming through the woods 30 yds in front of me. Laid him down at 30 yds, had a big ol thick paintbrush on him. Did the high 5's and off to the lake for the rest of the day. 10 1/4 beard

I'd use no decoy, get there in the dark dark, and get as close as possible facing the direction i think he's at. And make sure im in some cover to conceal. Id try to call the hen in. Actually doin the same thing in the am with my buddie. Gobbler going crazy at a place we've never hunted b4.

There all gimmicks, learn there natural patterns and you'll be a lot better off. With some extra cash in your pocket IMO

I like the HS Strut mouth calls and aluminum type friction calls for loud aggresive calling. Ive noticed my calling vs my buddies softer style calling gets them gobbling and commited. We would never known many of the birds were ever in the area with their soft calling.

Congrats on a dandy, good thing you got up or his buddies might of came over and brusied him up for ya.

Thanks guys, just love getting out in the mornings and calling up birds. Hope everyones luck has been good.

Never had any luck gentle calling a bird in. I say give it to em loud and proud, I get very aggresive with my birds. To each his own though, Ill stay with what works for me. Good Luck and let us know.

Went out with my buddy Btank this am to a local farm. Was walking in and saw a couple birds a 100 yds down a roadway and then out in a clover field. Jumped off the roadway just enough to stick the blind up quick while my buddy put his new pretty boy set out within arms reach of the blind. Made 2 quick calls and not two minutes later they were in our lap at 10 yds. We were having a hard time trying to get them to seperate their heads enough. Buddy starts the good Ol countdown on 3, he has the left bird and I the right. Ready 1, Bang, mines down, his does a 2 ft hop and lands back on his ft. Bang, his is down. All the while we're both laughing our ars's off. We go check them out, mine ends up having a 11 1/2 inch beard and his has a 10 1/2 inch beard. YEEEEHHAAAWW.. Free ride in the back of the pickup.

So opening morning up to my familys camp, my brothers watching the ball game with the windows open and hears a gobble. Looks out the window in our yard and sees this. Do you guys really think this guys wild? Our land borders state land on one side and the few neighbors we have Ive never seen any domesticated ones around. He says it has a 8 inch beard or so if that means anything. Is the only way to tell would be to see if it will fly?

Awww..... There so cute...

The 10 gauge is just plain awesome, best 100 bucks I ever spent. Took the big chunk of weight out of the stock so it's lighter and still more delightful to shoot than my benelli or 870 I use to have. It's hard to imagine but like the other guy said, its more of a push feeling than a quick kick. Much less painful than my benelli sbe, 870, or 835 ultimag. Shooting Hevi 13, 2 3/8oz #5s with a jellyhead tube. AMAZING

That model is not exactly NY legal ya know, just so you know before buying. You would have to change the flash hider to a suppressor and the adjustable stock to a fixed.

I'd go with the 7-08 also. Great cartridge to shoot for whitetails, minimal kick. Ammos cheap and known to be very accurate. I have one in a Remington 700 and my buddie has one in the model 7. Will throw them into one hole with both winchester silvertips @ 40 bucks a box and also with privi partisian ammo, which are soft point boattails @ 15 bucks a box. Recoil is very light.

Went out with my buddy Monday morning to call in some turks. Ended up putting the sneak on a group of 12 birds out in a giant clover field. Got to the backside of them where there is some higher ground and belly crawled it straight towards them. Was a gentle breeze that blew the tops of the clover which helped. Got to about what we thought was 40 yards and slowly raised the benelli to the first red head that was sticking up. Layed this one out with hevi13 #6's. Ended up being 61 yards, nice thick bird just like normal for our area.

Nice ending for my 07 rifle season here in NY. Harvested this buck on Dec. 5th while walking through a bedding area. First time out with my great grandfather's 25 caliber Remington pump gun. He thought he was sneaking away at 85 yards when the bullet struck his neck dropping him in his tracks. My buddy helped me drag him straight up out of a steep gorge. Was only a 50 yard drag but ended up taking over a hour due to the snow and steepness of the slope.

I've only heard 1 snort/wheeze while hunting in ten years. It came from a 21 inch 5 pt I have on the wall. Hopefully I'll hear another in a few more days.

2 weeks Personally I think you should wait about 2 more weeks and see the new Bowtech coming out. All I'm gonna say is me and my hunting buddy are at the top of the list for NY for getting one. Was in love with my 05 Bowtech Allegience and you can't even imagine how excited we are to get these new ones. They should be coming in around the 7th.

Just got my first chance to shoot my Winchester Apex in 45. caliber. Was a little worried after reading so much bad things on the 45 caliber in general. But was pleasantly relieved after hitting the bullseye on the second shot at 50 yards. Then moved back to 100 yards and was shooting a nice group. Then adjusting to shoot about 2 inches high at a 100 and once I got it sighted in. Continued to shoot a 1.75 inch 3 inch group with a warm barrel and no cleaning between shots. I can already tell its gonna be a **** of a shooter. My load was a 200 grain Hornady SST in front of two 50 grain 777 pellets. Can't wait until my next trip to the range. Boy it is a pleasant surprise coming from a TC encore. Looking down the barrel you can tell the rifling is deeper and cleaner looking. And the loading is wonderful compared to the encore. I shot up to 7 bullets between cleaning and the bullets went down with 2 fingers and seated nicely. My encore was a bear to load after 1 or 2 shots. Very happy with the 139.00 price tag. Did I mention I got it in stainless not blued.
