Sorry for not checking in for a little while, but to be honest I haven't had the chance to get out at all this week. This weekend will be different though, but I'm not expecting much. Man that's just plain bad luck Hoosier, he sounded like a bruiser. Always heard of the deadzone but never had it happen personally nor to a friend. OUR LUCK HAS TO TURN AROUND SOON! LET'S KEEP AT IT!!

Deer Drives are all me and my dad do in Shotgun and Muzzleloader season. Been pretty successful and have a lot of fun doing it. We used to have a big group of guys that came to our place to hunt, now it's down to just us or a couple others. We had a lot more land then too, it's dwindling fast now.

BTW, I Like Our Name! Hopefully with this cold weather that has come in will get the deer moving like we're all hoping. One of us is going to connect before this weekend is over, I just know it!

I missed an opportunity at a Big Doe this past weekend, she saw me killing a few skeeters and spooked. Still trying!

Bow Season has started here in Ohio, but I ain't got nothing yet. Got some good scrapes going on, seen a nice tall racked buck, probably an 8-point. But haven't closed the deal.

Around the edge of our cornfield I noticed a buck has just pawed the heck out of the ground making scrapes already. He's got some along the field and in the woods now too, looks like he's been at it for a couple weeks, whacking all the overhead branches and stuff pretty hard. Big track on him. Anyone else seeing scrapes? I thought it was a little early for them to be making them, I've seen more scrapes than rubs actually.

Found a really good deal on a 20 x 50 spotting scope, but had a question. It says 135 @ 1,000 yards, so does that mean if I'm looking at something that's out there at 1,000 yards it'll bring it up to 135? I might end up just getting it anyway, sounds pretty nice for $20 and free shipping. Thanks, Laura
