Well this afternoon one of the big tour buses carrying about 60 refugees flipped on the interstate. Needless to say we went at disaster mode at the hospital, first time in 4 yrs since i been there that something like this ever happened. We recieved about 30 of the refugees at our hospital, which was plenty. It was pretty neat to experience the refugees first hand but they look just like they do on tv, very dirty. After all the patients were seen, they were all given fresh meals compliments of the hospital......just thought i'd shared that lil peace of info...only had one fatality, few other serious injuries....enjoy, mathews

Re: Power Restored It's downright havoc around here especially w/ all the refugees aka "animals" that they are sending here. They are destroying our community and makin everyone live in fear. Cant go out on the town w/o worrying about being robbed, beatin, or even killed.......

I killed him around st. francisville, louisiana....i was hunting w/ a friend of mine as a guest at their place.....gotta love when u bring a guest hunting and they kill the biggest deer ever to be harvested on your property...LOL..it happens to us all!!! yes. tom i'm def. getting a shoulder mount on that bad boy, can't wait to get him back.

Well were are not goin to bring it to any authorities but the head guy of our club knows the kids father and is just goin to tell him about it and let him know that we have pictures and dont agree w/ them being all over our property and just not to let it go again. Then they left their beer cans behind....that really gets under ur skin!!!!

Re: Everyone on the edge.... as harsh at it may seem, i think whatever stayed behind for the storm needed to stay behind. If they wanna act the way they are then just leave them there and fight the war among themselves. I know its harsh but thats the way they are making ppl think about them

Re: What\'s the best deer stand name you\'ve had? Got a few.. 1.Bigfoot- box stand that is about 25 ft. up the air and that is just plain big. 2. Twin towers- This one is kinda sentimental. We had and old box stand that was there for yrs and was pretty torn up so we replaced it w/ another, but left the old one there just for memories and labled them the "twin towers" 3. Brown Stand- Simply bc the tin is painted brown. 4. Nick-knock- Bc its loud and made of tin and the slightest movement either makes a nick or a knock

Due to hurricane katrina they are sending refugees to our area. I got a phone call from my mom today while i was at school telling me to leave school and come straight home. They are starting to rob houses, cars, and everything else. They robbed one of our biggest gun stores and took all kinds of guns and ammo in broad daylight. They had a shooting two blocks from campus, which is one block from my parking spot for school. They are waiting out in parking lots and beating ppl when they come out of the stores, stealing their cars, and products that they bought, almost beating the life out of them. They are now robbing major grocery stores and even walmart. Its getting so bad that now the life long citizens are even packing up and leaving their homes bc the risk of bein robbed and killed is rising. My sister and her family are leaving to come sleep here tongiht. I just think that its totally sad how u give these ppl a place to stay and rest their head and now they are going around destroying our community and killing innocent individuals. They are complaining on tv that they aren't getting any help but maybe bc its that their fellow citizens over there are now shooting at the rescue helicopters. What do u do?? What was such a quiet and peacefull place to live for the 20 yrs i have been living here has turned into upright turmoil due to the fact of trying to lend a helping hand. It's only been 4 days since this has started, what's to come??? Everyone around is fearing night fall, but i can assure u no one who breaks in my house will make it out!!!! I think its sad when i fear my life is in danger just by going to school and walking on campus...

Re: please pray The looters are a disgrace to human society. You try to help them and they rob u for everything they can get. We wanted to go w/ our boats and help w/ the rescue but they are shooting ppl left and right just for a couple dollars or a bottle of water. These types of ppl dont deserve help. Their actions are putting in jeopardy the lives of the ppl who really deserve to be saved...JMO

Well as many of u know the southern coast of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama was struck by the deadly force of hurricane Katrina. Luckily for our town we missed the major blow and only got moderate winds and rain but 2 hrs from my house which would put u in the center of new orleans they were pounded. I have many of my friends and family from the area and neither of them have a home to go to or their home stands w/ water up to the tops of their roofs. One of them lives here for college and his parents chose to stay behind and ride it out like many others and he has not heard from them since monday morning at about 6 am in a short phone conversation in which left him w/ little hope to believe they made it. His mother was telling him that there was already water fastly filling up the house and that the roof had just been torn off and then the phones cut out. This was a devistating blow not only to the south but no matter where u are in the states u will feel the affects of this storm. Some of u may get the weather but others will feel affects of the fiercely rising gas prices due to the major damages and shutting down of hundreds of oil platforms in the coast. I know many of u have heard about this through the news over and over again, but the news has does no justice. You dont realize whats going on until u see it first hand. There are ppl everywhere looking for shelter, sleeping on the sides of roads, sleeping in cars, and doing anything and everything just to get a decent meal. Everytime i leave my house i c these sights and it makes me realize how fortunate we are not to be going through this. So i would like for you guys to keep these people in your prayers for as long as possible bc there is a long road ahead and its only getting worse. There is goin to be a moment of prayer tomorrow 8-31-05, but i'm not sure of the time, but i will let u know as soon as possible. Thanks again, Mathews......

Well this pass monday my buddy went out to our property to check his camera. Next to his camera he had laid a set of climbing sticks that he was gonna set up. Well when he got there they were MIA, so he thought maybe the wind from the hurricane had picked them up and moved them but he got to thinking that the winds weren't bad enough. He looked around and found them across the pasture in some tall grass. He then went back to his camera took out the memory card and put it in his digital camera and low and behold there was two guys on horse back both w/ rifles in hand. i guess they were gonna go back and get the rails at a later time but some how never saw the camera. He got the pics printed up and after showing them to a few ppl we finally got and ID on one of the guys. Luckily his younger brothers g/f knew one of the guys and was able to identify him so we are in the process right now of taking care of it. Now we know who had been riding horses for the past couple years on our lease and we could never figure it out. The sad thing is its the ppl that hunt on the side of us and we have alway been very helpful to them by letting them use access through our property in one spot to help them catch someone who was tresspassing on their land.. Well the days of being nice and helpfull are over. I recently talked to the guys older brother and he was complaining to me how ppl tresspass on their property and how he cant stand those types of ppl and low and behold his younger brother is caught in the act one week later exactly. What goes around comes around. I can assure u they will pay the price for their immature actions.....just thought i'd share that lil story w/ u and hope to post the pics soon. gotta love the new technology of scouting cams....poachers dont stand a chance

just bought a moultrie digital camera tonight...$100 at the local walmart so i figured what the ****..anyone ever use one b4??

i recently purchased some muzzy 100 gr. 4 blade broadheads from a realtree member and got an excellent deal. So i was just wonderin if anyone else had some they wanted to get rid of?? must be 4 blade 100's and brand new...if so just send me a PM

well me and a few of my buddies went out bow fishin sunday night. For me it was my first time so they kinda showed me how it was done. For those of you that haven't tried it, then i'm tellin u that you have to do it at least once and once u try it ur hooked for life. No matter how good u can shoot ur bow at a target once u get out and start shootin under water its a totally diff. ball game. It has to be the biggest challenge that i've ever done and honestly i was gettin more nervous than i do when i shoot a deer. Even the guys that were w/ me who did it b4 had trouble shooting. It was a slow night we shot at about 50 fish and ended up w/ 11 total. All the gars were small that night so it made it even tougher to hit them. I'm already planning on getting another bow to rig out for bowfishing and lookin for a boat to rig up....its addicting....i just thought i'd share the story w/ you guys and if u get the chance dont pass it up.....mathews4life ....sorry know pics...maybe next time
