I was very reluctant to try Facebook but I have found it to be a lot of fun. For me the best part was getting in contact with my high school classmates. Another great thing about Facebook was it allowed me to find an old friend that I have been searching for.
There are also some deals to be found on Facebook. Whitetails Unlimited has 70% off Facebook Friday deals and Lumenock is giving away stuff all the time.
There some great games on there too. I beat Ross at the Bowman archery game.
I don't do twitter. I just don't have time for it.
One more thing that I like is a link to Packers news. I get instant updates and team news instantly as they happen.
I have a Marlin 30-30 and my dad has one in .35 Rem. If your friend has any wishes to hunt something bigger than deer than I would recommend the .35 Win. If its just for deer than the 30-30 will do.
Be sure to get some of the Honady LeveRevolution ammo for your new gun. I have been using it since it has been introduced. It is great ammo, I shoot flatter and better patterns.
RangerClay is checking in. I still have till May 1st before I can hunt turkeys. I don't turkey hunt that much but I will try my best to put points on the board.
Any ideas for a team name??
During the first year of Osama's reigh of terror we were hearing radio commercials for people to sign up for food stamps. It was the first time that I could ever remember hearing commercials like that. Americans were finally getting self sufficient and they were not happy with it.
LOL! Think about it.....Excalibur.....the magical sword.....King Arthur....slaying dragons.
Among Excalibur owners they call their crossbows "Dragon Slayers". Go to some of the crossbow forums and you will see what I mean.
Way to early to start getting the itch here. I still have ice fishing, shed hunting, and trout fishing to do first. With most of the turkey population detroyed by coyotes back home I just don't get that excited anymore.
Now that bow season is over for most of us and we have had time to reflect. What changes are you going to make for next bow season?
Me, I'm going to get a new quiver that holds 5 arrows. I've been threatening to do it. With more turkeys coming around I want an extra turkey broadhead in my quiver.
I assume you mean a beginning bow and not a begging bow.
I have never tried Redhead bows now have I ever heard them mentioned here. When I got my buddy his first bow last year the Bear Charge package was a great little bow for the money.
