Nice shootin Dan! I used to hunt the whistle pigs all the time when I lived in central NY. Up here in northern NY where I live they are few and far between. Shooting woodchucks is something I really miss.

Last year I gave my home plot a a year off from brassicas to prevent blight. I'm going to plant WI Winter Greens and some turnips. They seem to be my 2 biggest hits with the deer.

Is it me or is this guy squatting in his own food. I'm sure if I could own an animal that poops in his own food :pacman::yes:

Looks like more than just thrill killing. With the burglary too I'll bet they were stealing for drug money.

I have four favorite deer guns all have special sentimental value. My very first gun that my dad gave me, my first Browning, etc. Its hard to pick just one. My go to gun that usually reach for first is my Marlin 336 levergun in 30-30. If the crosshairs on that gun touch a deer within 150 yards.....it's gonna die.

I feel your pain Ruth. This past spring I found out the land that I have been hunting for 31 years is going up for sale. This is the same hill that I shot my first deer. I would start immediately looking for new land. Do a soft introduction, ask to hunt sheds, turkeys or woodchucks to help the landowner get to know you over the summer.

Usually call them meat sticks or pepperoni sticks. Sounds really good Shaun!!
