Re: Firearm of choice for Bushy tails I have an old .410 single shot that I like to use.It was my very first gun,and I don't get a chance to use it much.It doesn't have as much range,but it is short and light for long walks in the woods.

Blues tickets are mostly the same price.They lowered the price of about three sections to the 1994 price or something like that.I think it's only about 3000 seats.Our cheapest ticket is still $15.00.I wish they would lower the price of beer,pop,and food a little.

Re: Montecs or Crimsons I don't have any experience with the Montecs,but they look like a great broadhead.They appear to be sturdy and easy to sharpen.I can vouch for the Crimson Talons.They are a great head and I didn't need any sight adjustmant between them and my field points, and they do an unbelievable amount of damage.The downside to the Crimsons is they are almost impossible to target shoot with.

Re: Extreem Shrink Fletch I don't know how much helical to put in.All mine are on straight.They do come with little glue dots to hold the tube on the arrow however you want it until the tube tightens up around the arrow shaft.

Re: Squirrel Season Ours opened up on August 1.I usually don't go until it cools off a bit,it's been in the mid 90's here the past few weeks.Nothing like squirrel and eggs for breakfast!I'm picking up a few boxes of shells for my .410 this weekend.

Re: morning or evening? I would have to say mornings,too.I like to get settled in the stand about an hour before the sun starts coming up.It sure is great to the woods start coming alive and the critters get moving on a frosty morning.

Re: Stl. Blues trade Pronger I'm not a Wings fan either,mostly because the Blues never seem to beat them. Stevie Y is a great player and a future hall of famer.He's always fun to watch. The reality of the CBA.The Blues trade Pronger to Edmonton for Eric Brewer,Doug Lynch, and Jeff Woywitka. I didn't really care for him much,but he has a decent shot and can make the long tape to tape passes,which could be huge this year.

Re: Bad news for Illinois nonresident bowhunters I hate to say it,but the politicians are going to ruin Illinois deer hunting.It's all about the mighty dollar nowadays.I've heard several people say this would be their last year to hunt in Illinois. This year they are doing away with check stations,and going to an online or phone in check in deal,all to save the state about 500 grand.We'll see how that works out,but I don't see how that can do anything but hurt the sport. I have a feeling most of this new legislation is made by non-hunters that simply see dollar signs.
