  1. Looks like the same deer to me too.
  2. Both are nice deer, but yeah the one in the first pic looks really nice! Good luck!
  3. Wow 16 already?! That's crazy. Yep like Martin said, get the 12ga polished up lol. My little girl is due to enter the world in less than two weeks. Already have mine shined up and loaded and she's not even out of the womb yet LOL. :clown: Started shooting my bow a few weeks ago, got it dialed in out to 40 yards. Can't wait til Oct 1st!

    76 Days

LOL I did the same thing as William! Read it twice. Welcome back, hope you heal up real quick bud. What a bummer.

    Hey guys.

Welcome back Steven! Nice to see you around again. Congrats on the marriage and child! My first one is due 2 weeks from today.
  6. Still 6 1/2 weeks away for me! Have to wait til October 1st.
  7. Caught this fella on the trail cam from yesterday. Trying to figure out if it's the same deer as the one that has been showing up in the fields early morning. Seen this guy along with a few other smaller bucks with it a few mornings now. Body amd antlers look a bit bigger on the pics I took with my DSLR. If it's not the same deer it's a close relative. Wish I had a pic of his rear end on the DSLR to see if the lower part of his tail is black like the trail cam shots. I was trying to hold out to show you guys until I could get the DSLR pics uploaded, can't find my compact flash reader! Probably will end up buying a new one then finding my old one. I'll post them up once I get them. This is the best "Pic of a Pic off a Pic Review screen" I could get LOL. He's a bruiser!!:jaw:
  8. Right on man! I was hoping to make one today and put it up but it's a high of 88 with a heat index of 104 both today and on my day off tomorrow. Just got back from the bush, was cleaning up some trails and cutting brush. It's getting pretty warm out already! May at least go get the lumber.
  9. No worries about that John, I have the .220 Swift on guard in the closet only a few steps from the door lol. It's only a reach away if I'm outside or looking out the kitchen window and see a groundhog or coyote in the field. Those pigs will be no exception if I see them around here!:gunsmilie:

  11. Sounds awesome, good luck man!
  12. Just came across this article. The one was shot just north of Toronto but it also says they're east of Ottawa too. I know one thing, if they come too far west of Ottawa onto our property they'll have no shortage of lead flying at them!!! :gun1: http://www.oodmag.com/hunting/one-wild-boar-shot-dead-in-caledon-one-still-on-the-run/#/
  13. 46 degrees here right now. Feels like fall coming. :toot:
  14. I have a 2006 Hoyt Trykon XL, need to get it re-strung but planning on using it this fall. Still looks and shoots like new.
  15. I use photobucket as well. Copy the direct link then just add the code. Mobile is a pain in the rear end. I'm so happy to have internet at home now. My phone took a swim in the bilge of a boat at work a couple weeks ago so I haven't used the mobile app in a while.
  16. Hey man welcome back! Hope all is doing well for you and the family.
  17. Well we made it back safely last night. Had a great time! I must admit I really like Cabela's better than Bass Pro. Even though the store is a bit smaller. Bass Pro is right on the north side of Toronto. WAY too many people for this country fella LOL. I was ready to strangle someone by the time we got out of there. Well Bass Pro wasn't too bad, but the mall it is attached to which has probably 200+ stores was absolutely insane. Barrie is about 50 miles north of Toronto, still a decent sized city, 130,000 population. Staff was much more friendly and helpful, and so many less people! I'll be happy when Cabela's opens their store in Ottawa. It'll only be 20 minutes from home instead of 4 hours.
  18. LOL! Great pics, it's funny when they get up close and personal with the cams like that. I had one last week but the deer wasn't quite in front of the camera, only caught the ear in the pic.
  19. Yep we'll be looking for some stuff for her. Already have had a lot of RT clothes given to us at the 2 baby showers. But I imagine there will be more by the end of the day tomorrow lol. I refuse to buy that junky no name camo you see at walmart etc. I won't wear it, nor will my little one!
  20. I had the Stihl out this afternoon for a bit cutting some trees that were on the trails. Still lots to do, got too dang hot to run a chainsaw this afternoon! Hopefully there'll be some cooler days in the near future so I can get some more stuff cut and trimmed up along the trails and around my future treestand area.
  21. My girlfriend and I decided to take a little trip before the baby comes next month. Tomorrow is a holiday here in Canada, and I usually get Monday's off anyway since I work Saturday's. So that means I get Tuesday off too this week. Woohoo! Anyway, we're getting up early tomorrow and hitting the road to Toronto. Going to go to Bass Pro there. Hoping to be on the road by 7am so that should put us in Toronto around 11am. Spend the afternoon there then head up 40 miles north to Barrie, ON for the night. Get up Tuesday morning, hit the Cabela's in Barrie then head home. Should be a good trip, it'll be nice to get away for a night. Haven't been to Bass pro in a couple years, might buy a treestand if I can find a good deal on one.

    Feeling old

Sounds like a blast Joe! And yes I know the feeling. I laid that laminate click flooring back in June in our front room. Only about 200 sq ft of it, and installed new baseboards. The next day the insides of my legs were so freaking sore. I guess it's the way I was crouching and kneeling all day laying the floor etc. I could feel it for a week.
  23. Finally a break here. 62 degrees right now. Storms are rolling through and brought in a very welcomed cold front!
  24. She's a good girl. Still pretty hyper for 4 years old but that's ok. She LOVES kids which is great. When the niece and nephew come over she doesn't leave their side (they're 3 and 8). Hoping once the baby comes she'll mellow out a bit.
