Re: COTW - .25-06 Remington Thanks for the info, AJ. i have been wondering what to get for a seocnd deer rifle when i am hunting in the fields, that is a smaller caliber than my .300 WSM. i'd like to get something in the .25 or .26 caliber range. the .25-06 has always appealed to me, now it does even more! thanks again AJ.

Re: 7mm-08 AI the regular 7mm is a magnum caliber, similar to a .300 Win Mag, and the 7mm-08 is basically the same cartridge as the .308 and .243, but .284 caliber. if i were to get a short action caliber for deer, it would be the .308 or the 7mm-08.
