hey guys/gals just wonderin what you guys use for artillery i use a Browning BLR .300 WSM just bought it last week. what a gun, i LOVE it and would reccommend it to anyone!

Re: ice fishing huts?? hey, ya i got one, we made it, i think its 7x7 but not positive. i have a wood stove in it so it gets about 90 degrees in there lol. i have 2 holes in the shack, one 3'x1.5' and one 12"x12" its cool cuz the lake is really clear and we put it in about 9 feet of water so you can see the fish as clear as a bell... it is REALLY neat.

Re: In the Market for a 300 WSM hey, i just bought a Browning BLR in a .300 WSM last sunday and I LOVE IT lol. i used to use a Remington 700 .300 Win. Mag and i loved that gun, but it was a pain without a detatchable clip and carrying the 3 foot shells so i loved dad's BLR in a .308 and i went with the 300 WSM because i like the magnum calibers. i think this is the perfect caliber because it is a short shell and the recoil is very minimal, i find that my WSM has a smaller recoil than dad's 308 and my brother's .270 in the BLR. it is a short shell, .308 in length and the width of the cartridge is based on the .416 Rem Mag. but when i compare widths with my .300 Win Mag, it is not that much bigger. good luck with your purchase, i would reccomend the Browning BLR any day.

Re: Is winter finally here?? i think its summer there!!! it was -20c overnight here (about -5f???) and it was about -18 when i got up this morning. i am about 25 minutes west of Ottawa, ON. we got 10 inches of snow on friday night, then 5-6 inches on sunday night, i was out on the skidoo all weekend, i have been waiting for this since the spring!! LOL

Re: Christmas in America vs. Xmas in America i am in agreeance TOTALLY guys. i see a lot of ppl forget that that was the day that Jesus was born. we have to remember that. without him there would be no christmas! it is important that we go to church on sundays to give thanks to the Lord, but especially at Christmas and Easter. It is only 1 hour out of a 168 hour week. so we should make the effort to go, and you usually feel better after you go to church anyways, so whats the loss? lets remember this and go to church on Christmas. Remember to keep the CHRIST in CHRISTmas.

Re: Buck shot or slugs? for deer hunting definetly go with slugs guys. i personally use a rifle, but i know that u can only use shotguns in some states down there, so if there is an option go with the slugs. sabot slugs work great, my friend uses them. up here they are like $15 for 5 though LOL, but hey, there worth there money!

Re: varmit gun? we have a Remington 700 .22-250 with a 6-18x Redfield scope on it and that thing is like a sniper. we reload .52gr boatail match bullets. man that gun can drive tacks every shot! up here we dont have prairie dogs, just groundhogs
