  5. Re: A toss up between rifles LOL VTbowman you sure can read minds!! yes i do shoot at moving game and i love pepperin em off LOL. ya i get that from my dad. He has shot many deer with his Browning BLR .308 running across the field at 50mph. when he hits them they do about 10 flips until they come to a stop. I am currently using dads Remington 700 .300 Win Mag. I really like that gun and forgot to list it on the post. and to be honest, i can eject the shells really fast outa the 700s too, so i might still get one of those. The only thing i cannot stand about the .300 Mag that dad has is that there isn't a detachable magazine. If i get a 700 i am definetly getting it with the DM option. thanks for the input boys
  6. Re: Well, so much for that. yes Chris, a lot of people would have opened fire on that buck... but you definetly did the right thing. The last thing you want to do is tick that landowner off then that would have been your last buck off his property lol. like Rhino said, i am sure you will be rewarded for doing the right and ethical thing. Thumbs up.
  7. Re: Not Just Me! (Oklahoma Harvest Count) Well I had the best season of my life, I shot my biggest buck and saw plenty more deer, the whole gang and other gangs that we hunt with were all very successful. I am up in Arnprior, Ontario, which is 20-30 minutes west of Ottawa. I hunt up near Pembroke, Ontario. It was a very memorable season.
  8. Re: Gun Selection lol i am pumped up about getting the BLR in a .300 WSM too... man those shells are expensive though
  9. i am having one heck of a time trying to make up my mind on a few different rifles. I am interested in these: -Browning BLR .300 WSM -Remington 7400 Semi .30-06 -Remington 7400 Semi .270 -Remington 7600 Pump .270 -Remington 7600 Pump .30-06 Any of you guys have any suggestions?? I'd like em all, but cant afford that many rifles LOL. I love the idea of the .300 WSM, but the shells are so expensive. And i am in love with the remington 7600s and 7400s, i am aiming towards the semi, has anyone had any problems with jamming??

  19. Re: What an awesome sight.......... yea my uncle saw a red-tailed hawk pick a crow off of the lawn at my grandmas place, he said it swooped down picked it up then took it up to a tree and plucked out the feathers one my one, unbelievable, my uncle is a big outdoors man and thought that the hawk would just demolish the crow, but it just took his time pluckin the feathers out of it. LOL. And one time while fishing near Kiosk Lake in Algonquin Park, an Osprey picked off a live specled trout. He spotted it, then divebombed from about 200 feet and SPLASH, sure enough he got it LOL
  20. hey, just wondering what y'all ice fish for. And where ya fish. I fish on Golden Lake in Ontario which is near Pembroke, Barry's Bay and Eganville. I fish for northern pike, perch and whitefish. Used to fish walleyes (pickeral) but they closed the season for them to restock them. Walleye season opens again in 2007. CANT WAIT. I still catch the odd one trolling in the summer, and when i do get them they are all over 8lbs. I dont feel bad releasing them because there the producers of the lake until the fingerlings mature. have a good ice fishin winter this year boys!
