  16. Re: Cartridge Comparison I like my .300 Win Mag, i want to get a 30-06, then a .260 for field hunting, i think that would be a deadly cartridge!
  17. Re: black squirrels black and red squirrels are all over the place here!
  18. Re: gopher hunting i like the good ol' remington 700 varmint 22-250, they sure do flatten the buggers lol
  19. Re: 22-250 What scope? i have a Redfield 6-18x on my remington 700, at 300 yards a groundhog looks like its on the end of your gun lol
  20. Re: Opening Day of Crow Hunting i shoot crows here too, there a BIG pain in the butt, they get into all sorts of mischive, especially garbage. We have this Remington 700 Varmint 22-250, it has a 6-18x Redfield scope on it. Dad was out on the porch with this older man from New York, dad noticed a crow sitting at the top of a big pine tree. it was about 175 yards away. Dad went up and grabbed the 22-250, the guy from New York said.. you will NEVER hit that. Dad said "watch this". he loaded up the 52gr hollowpoint, set the gun on the roof of the car and fired, the bird fell from the tree and i ran and got it. Dad shot it right between the eyes LMAO. i showed the guy and he almost fell out of his chair lol.
  21. Re: Guns you each use for coyote hunting ? oh ya! my 22-250 has a 6-18x Redfield scope
  22. Re: Guns you each use for coyote hunting ? i use a Remington 700 Varmint 22-250 with 52gr hollowpoints, it does the job
  23. Re: My husband thinks he is a deer! lmao, that'd be quite the deer eh?
  24. Re: First deer! hey man! congrats on your first deer with the bow, i agree with all of the other guys too with gettin a doe tag. here in canada, well ontario at least, you have to enter a draw for doe tags. the chance of you getting one depends on what WMU (wildlife management unit) you are in. it ranges from a 5% chance to a 100% chance, mu WMU is about 55%. I haven't got one yet lol. Oh well, the time will come. good luck in your future hunts
  25. Re: First Time, Any Tips?? the first time i saw a deer when hunting was probably when i was like 8. (iam 17 now) i was with my dad... a doe and a fawn came out like 10 yards from us and the doe got into the 'head bobbing'. i burst out laughing because i had never seen them do that before lol, luckily we didn't have a doe tag!! lol
