  1. For $500.00 I'd snatch it up.......quick!!!!!!!!
  2. Mid South Shooting Supply has that barrel for $313.20 (www.midsouthshooterssupply.com), E Arthur Brown Company has that barrel for $318.00 (www.eabco.com). As you can see both of these are much cheaper than Cabelas or Bass Pro. I've purchased from E Arthur Brown before and their customer service is excellent. I'm sure mid south is as well. I didn't check Natchez price but I'm sure it's comprable. Don't forget TC is offering a $50.00 rebate on barrels right now but they must be purchased prior to 12-31-09.
  3. Very nice deer! Way to go.
  4. The best camo that does what camo is actually supposed to do (Break up your outline) is Preadtor and ASAT. Much better than RT, MO, or any of the other patterns that's made to catch a hunters eye.
  5. That's one good looking rifle! I hope you enjoy it.
  6. Exactly! We as a nation should stand by Israel and not use moral equivalency in comparing the deaths of six million jews to what the Palestinans go through. BTW, what exactly are "sportsmen for obama?"
  7. I think you make some excellent points regarding this matter. I also hope they are released but I also think it was a risk they should have known.
  8. As someone said above, the Bible does not mandate celebacy. It also does not mandate priests either as we need no go between as Christ intercedes for us. We have our own relationship with God and can confess our sins to him. No priest needed. The Bible does indicate that the apostle Peter was married. In my personal experience in dealing with sexual abuse cases, if someone is charged by law enforcement, and particularly if they are indicted, 99.9 times out of 100 they did it and to a greater extent than what is reported. There is a tremendous amount of sexual abuse that happens and it happens everywhere, not just priests.
  9. Another bump for a great bow!
  10. I have not used the exact scopes you mentioned. However, all of my optics are Nikon including scopes, rangefinder, and binoculars. You can not go wrong with Nikon.
  11. That's pretty awesome. And I can certainly see where it would be frustrating. Those pics are priceless. You need to send those in to some different magazines.
  12. Good luck and keep us updated as to how your season goes.
  13. Pretty good for post # 2, I'd say! Congrats on a great bird and welcome to the forums.
  14. Great Job! That' one beautiful bird. Congrats on the pinning as well.
  15. I shoot a 870, hastings rifled barrel, old tasco scope, and Remington copper solid sabot slugs. I got the barrel and scope as a Christmas present in like 1986. The zero of this scope has never changed so I've never replaced it. All my other optics are Nikon. You need to try different loads to see what your gun will shoot. Don't let price be an issue as what loads you try. I guess what I'm saying is, let your gun be the deciding factor as to what you shoot, not price or what someone else shoots.
  16. Wow! Congrats to you! Those are some great hooks!
  17. I think your son shot a bearded hen. Never seen one with a hairy looking head like that. Congrats to him!
  18. If they really wanted to "Make a statement" why not shop at only American Indian owned shops? To me, the American Indian is the only group that has a right to complain about stuff like this. Those above are right, if whites did this we'd be called racists!
  19. Well I took my 2nd bird of the season here in Kentucky Thursday morning. My buddy and I were hunting out of the Matrix when two gobblers came in to the decoys. We got situatied in the blind and counted down to shoot. I dropped this one but I think my count wasn't loud enough cause my buddy didn't shoot. I started cutting on my mouth call and the other bird came in and flogged this one. When my buddy shot at him, that bird dropped his head to peck this one just as he shot. We didn't get a double but it was a great morning to be hunting none the less! This bird only weighed 18 pounds, had 1" spurs, and a 9.5" beard. Most of his breast feathers were gone so I figure he'd lost some weight servicing the hens! I was again using the Encore 20 gauge, Indian Creek .555, and the Nitro straight #7 hevi shot. Guys, there's alot to be said for using a 20 gauge with the right choke and Nitro ammo. The 20's are so much easier to pack and just plain fun to shoot, not to mention no teeth jarring recoil!
  20. I live about 10-12 miles from their shop. They work really hard to satisfy their customers. I've never purchased a bow from them but I've got arrows, broadheads, quivers, STS, etc. from them and have always been pleased. I've been at their shop before and seen customers come in from 200-300 miles away to purchase from them.
  21. Sorry for the double post. Please delete.
