  1. Thanks bwana72. I appreciate your information and welcome to the forums! I've heard that the trigger on the X-bolt is awesome. Grady 269, welcome to the forums also and thanks for your post. I've owned several Brownings in the past and have never had any issues with any of them. Sorry about your bad luck.
  2. I heard on the Radio Factor that the UAW wasn't accepting the President bail out plan because of some of the conditions and they wanted to wait for Obama to take office. Anyone else hear this. Oh, my opinion is that Bush's announcement today is just another example of elected officials not doing the will of the people.
  3. Skip all of the trying different loads/chokes business. Go to www.indiancreekss.com, contact them and buy the blackdiamond strike choke tube they recommend for your gun. Then go to www.nitrocompany.co, contact them and order a box of H51013A 4X5X7 hevi shot. You will have the BEST choke/load combo for your gun, period. There is no better performance to be had. Welcome to the forums btw!
  4. Wow, congrats to you and your brother. Both very nice deer!
  5. How about Nikon Monarch? And if you're wanting to spend some big bucks, go with the Monarch Gold. I've used both the Monarch and the Leuopold VXIII, and to me the Monarch is way better glass. If you're wanting to spend a little less, check out the buckmaster or prostaff series of Nikon Scopes.
  6. Why don't you try sellin' it over on AT?
  7. I agree with you that new equipment is way to pricey. Others make great points about used equipment and how easily they can be obtained. I do think that you make a very valid point that some may feel that they are being priced out of the sport or that the initial cost of getting started is more than they can afford.
  8. That's pretty awesome right there! Looks great!
  9. Way to stick with under harsh conditions. Nice buck you got there for your efforts!
  10. DoubleA....that is one pretty awesome collection of firearms you have there.
  11. Shoot the bow you have in mind and see if the shorter bh is a real issue.
  12. Sounds like you had a great hunt! Stay at it.
  13. Never used one but they would be just as effective as any shotgun with the right choke/load combo!
  14. Things like this just make me wonder how all of those states with large numbers of hunters like Ohio, PA, Michigan, etc. voted for this guy.
  15. Wow! Tell your dad congrats.
  16. That is truly a giant! Is that really a wild, free roaming deer? If so, then Wow is all I can say.
  17. Very nice. Congrats again on your harvest.
  18. Congrats on your choice! I hope that you enjoy your new rifle.
  19. I think Colorado Bob answered that question pretty good. I have always been told that the receiver for the 2/34" guns and 3" guns are different and that the gun will not function properly with the 3" load. I never wanted to test it to see:D Also, Remington says not to use the 3" load on the guns with a 2 3/4" receiver even if you have a 3" barrel and that's good enough for me!
  20. Wasn't he on the news yesterday complaining that Bank of America wouldn't loan a business there in Il. so that they could stay in business?
