Re: Mess of pigs..... I would give anything to come shoot some of those pigs!!!! I went on a pig hunt 3 years or so ago, it was in a fenced in place, i would not shoot it, it was pitiful. But one of these days i am going to make to texas and take some ferrel pigs. Good luck on cleaning them up.

I am assuming that a woman is the suspect for the crime?? That stuff just aint right.

Re: Is hunting still \"HUNTING\"? I like the comment about the go go go lifestyle and taking shortcuts about hunting. I wont mention any names but ever since certain hunting compaines have gotten bigger and bigger their success on larger animals has gotten smaller and smaller. What i mean is these companies have gotten so big and got themselvs spread so thin they dont have time to put in the necessary time to take the bigger and more quality animals. In our go go go lifestyle we do like the shortcut routes, we need to take a step back and get a reality check sometimes, and keep hunting, Hunting...not just killing.

Re: I love my atv!! Yall better be wearing helmets...My best friend got killed on an atv Feb 1 this year, i havent been on one since. If you arent wearing a helmet you are asking to get killed.

Re: Is hunting still \"HUNTING\"? This is the approach that i take to hunting...The deer i hunt live in the woods 365 days a year, i am luckey if i get 60 partial days in the woods. They know when something isn't right. We can come up with scent this, camera that, a new fangled gun or bow, some new accessory, yadda yadda yadda, bottom line is its natural progression between hunter and hunted, we started using rocks, went to sticks, to finding out ways to to throw the sticks harder, we are just making the odds in our favor now days, but still the deer are keen and pretty slick. We just put a few more points on our side.

Re: Kisser Buttons i dont use one, i turn my fletches so they hit a certain place on my face. I use a T handle relese so i am closer do the arrow than a regular release. Less weight on that string means more fps.

Re: What age to start hunting? This is hard to beleive but some of my first memories are of me and my dad out in the woods when i was maybe two years old, he used to sit me between his legs and show me leaves and try to help me learn the colors and what kind of trees they were. Its the stuff like that i like remembering. I remember, i was 5 and killed my first squirrel, i can still see it plain as day in my head, it was in a white pine tree, shot it with a twenty guage, lol that was along time ago.

I shot my 85 grain montecs today.....i shot them inside in a range, fly perfect but they made a noise, anyone else have this problem?? Mine made a hissing noise the entire way, i dont know if it was just the sound being amplified by the sheet metal siding and concrete floor or what, but it did make a sound....Any takers??? was using quickspin fletches, but switched to regular fletches and same noise.....

Re: Finger shooters.... I have been toying with the idea of gettin back into 3d shooting, in the limited division...shooting fingers. Just wanting to see what people were shooting. I have a recurve i shoot with fingers. Just wanting to see how long people go, i want ot shoot a hoyt ultratec i think, or the one with the hole in the riser....who knows....

Re: so your a dangerous game hunter huh Stuff like that is what gives anti-hunting groups fuel to their fires. It isn't they were bad hunters, the guy just didnt' hit the mark when he first shot. That guy hesitated too much in my opinion. He should have taken that cat long before that entire situation happened, and when he did shoot he had plenty of time to take an additional shot, when it comes to dangerous game your first shot is the most crutial, but if it isn't down immediatly you keep putting shots in it until it is dispatched. He should have kept shooting.

Re: almost.... i climbed up a tree once, had screw in steps in it, sit down, look there are two does eatin in the clearing 10 yds from me, i dont know where they came from or what, bow was on the ground, i figured why not pulle it up if i didnt' scare them climbing, i did, knocked an arrow, pulled back.....MISSED!!!LOL everything was going too good.
