    Poison Ivy

Re: Poison Ivy you have to be careful when dealing with that stuff, espically when pulling the vines off a tree. You can get an airborn form of the rash in your lungs....from the small particles dislodged from the tree. The oil from the leaves is what makes you itch, I myself am luckey, i dont get it, i can weedeat that stuff and not get it. I would cover completely up, pull it off, hope for some rain to wash the tree down some. When you go home wash with DAWN dish detergent. Whatever you do...dont wash with moistureizing soap. It will embed the oils deeper in your skin. And if you do get an outbreak, make you someoatmeal and put it on there, it will draw out the fluid out of the bumps. Good luck chief!!
  10. Re: best all around caliber? 50 Caliber bolt action....From elephant to tanks, there is nothing you cannot take down with the 50.
  11. Re: Is this overboard for my daughter? I like the fathers who are all big and bad and like to show me their firearms...You can learn alot about him just by looking at a gun. Like if its all clean, no scratches, you know he is just blowing smoke....If you see the ole 12 guage double barrel with rabbit ears, one of which is broken off, scratched up cracked stock, a little rust on the trigger guard...well seems to me he has cracked a few people upside the head with that ole peice!! I got threatened with a gun by a father last year. It got ugly when he actually pointed it in my general area....Just be cautious with it, its all in good fun until you get stupid and do somthing like that. Not all of us are dirt bags!!! I am still looking for the dad who i can shoot my bow with!!! And i am from west virginia..there is something wrong with that.
  12. Re: big day update!!!! pics sweet
  13. I want an HONEST answer. How many of you guys and girls practice with your bow through out the season??? I am guilty of not shooting as much as i should but i still shoot atleast 3 days a week. And i ALWAYS shoot three times before i go huntin, often it is by the light of my headlights shooting my block. Just wondering....

  15. Re: My plans for a Summit Viper there's nothing wrong with mossy oak camo.
  16. Re: Using a field light This is what puzzles me about this question. First...if you know where your stand is, know where a few landmarks are to get you there...then why do you need a light? I walk maybe 3/4 of a mile to get to my stand, most of it thick woods, i like to get there atleast 45 minutes before it thinks about getting light. I just dont see the reason to have your surefire light bobbing around. Maybe if you are afraid of the dark or something but i think we are all past that.
  17. Re: dad dating rules for daughters Ten bucks says you didn't come up with that yourself. Rules....yea we need rules, but comming from a young un...well i'll just stop now, lol

    Sighting in???

Re: Sighting in??? once you shoot your bow enuf you will be able to set your pins, after you get your first one set, without shooting a single arrow, and be very close to the mark. The pin gap is almost always constant unless your bow shoots slow or you have a overly heavy arrow.
  25. Re: First Time Bowhunting Deer.... wear a safety harness if your in a tree, Pick a spot, pick a spot, pick a spot. Thats as good as i can do, the rest of it is all personal preferance.
