I was just curious to see what everyone uses to dress their game. In the past I've always used Gerber or Buck knives, but two years ago I was given a Knives of Alaska Light Hunter Combo. It has the Mini Skinner/Cleaver with the Cub Bear Caping Knife, and let me tell you, it is the finest gutting knife I've ever used.. So, lets see some knives...and some opinions of yours or other knives. Keep em' clean, lol!!!

I've been bow hunting hard since Oct. 1 and I have had several close encounters with great deer (one even bigger than this one) but just haven't had a good shot opportunity. And the first time I don't take my bow, here he comes, 10 yards away! Thats just the way it works. But in all honesty, I couldn't be more pleased.

Re: 140\" or better.. How many have U seen in your life I've probably seen 10 in my hunting career and I haven't got one yet. My buck from this last weekend will be close, but I'm not sure. I can't wait to get his score....only 2 more months!!!!

This is our eighth year with our DMAP program, and its really starting to pay off. For the last eight years we've filled close to 200 doe tags and have taken only 12 bucks, all of which we're nice mature deer. So far this year we've taken 3 great deer from the property, and we're really starting to see dividends of our DMAP program. Enjoy the pics!

Re: My Muzzle Loader Buck(ooh pics!) Thanks Guys! Here's a trail cam pic that I got of him earlier this year. I knew that he looked familiar when I walked up to him, and after sorting thru all my pics, I found him! Any guesses on a score? 135ish?

I was fortunate enough to take this great buck at first light on Saturday morning. He presented me with about a 15 yard shot, which was a little too close, but my Night .50 cal did the job. He's got great mass and a little bit of character with his bladed brows and G2, plus he's got one little sticker point. He dressed out at 162 lbs. Overall I couldn't be more pleased with this deer, as he is my first muzzle loader buck, and my biggest deer yet. Another great Oklahoma deer!!! Im guessing he's going to score somewhere around 135'', what do yall think?

I've been out of the woods for 11 days and its killing me! I just want to know what everyone in Oklahoma has been seeing in the last 2 weeks. I'm gonna get a chance to hunt Friday and Saturday so it won't be too long till I find out for myself, but what kind pre-rut action have you Okies been seeing? Thanks!

Re: Midwest Rattling Success??? I did some light rattling last weekend in SE OK, and only had success bringing in little bucks. I think its still a bit early to fool the big boys.
