  1. I went up to Bass Pro yesterday and picked up my second pair of the Alpha Burly Sports. On sale for $69!!! And they're in the new AP!!! I can't wait to break them in!
  2. I have to agree! I bought my first pair 4 years ago and I've about worn them out. They are the most comfortable hunting boots that I've ever put on my feet. I'll probably go get another pair before season starts, in the new AP pattern.
  3. Trust me, its been affecting my sleep and pretty much every other thought right now. Theres so many plans of attack running through my head right now! Oct. 1, the opening day of Bow season in Oklahoma is on a monday this year, and I don't think I'll be able to get in the woods until at least Thursday evening. Those extra few days to wait are going to be excruciating! Serenity Now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. How about an 8 pound Florida Heisman?
  5. Haha! I knew an Okie or two would give me grief for this, but I just couldn't keep these pics to myself. Okies forgive me!!!!
  6. Your right. I zoomed in on that spot and it is a bunch of ticks.
  7. Well, thanks for confirming my thoughts of how big this deer might be. I just wish I could wake up in the morning and it would be Oct. 1 and be about 45 degrees outside. Any guesses on a spread? I'm thinking somewhere around 22 inches.
  8. This is a buck that I've got pics of from the last two years, and he just keeps getting better! I put out my camera two weeks ago and when I went to check it Friday night, I had over 100 pictures of this buck! I am beside myself right now! My wife is already getting sick of me and my buddies talking about him, and we're still more than 7 weeks from bow season! Any guesses on a score for this guy? If I said 170'' would I be getting ahead of myself? Let me know what ya'll think. Thanks!
  9. Thanks! I got one pic of this guy prior to the 2005 season and several more early in the 2006 season. This is the first deer that I've been fortunate enough to take after getting pics of him. In fact, I had the first picture I got of this buck saved as my background on my phone for several months back in 2005. I was a little bummed to say the least when I never saw him that season, but it was well worth the wait!
  10. The city of Noble recently lost thier Animal Control officer due to budget issues. And with an already underfunded and undermanned Police force, this is really going to take its toll on the city. I live in Norman which is only about 5 miles north of where this happened, but I do own a business in Noble. Just talking with a few folks this morning, and as you can imagine this little community is pretty shaken up. In the paper this morning there was a story about the boy. Sounds like he was a great kid and really knew his Bible! It said that he has always the first to memorize versus each week at Church, and how a lot of people thought he was destined to be a preacher. The story ended by saying that he's now fishing in Heaven, and I believe it. Such a senseless act that should of never happened.
  11. This is news to me! I'd much rather see an "Earn a Buck" program set up over this kind of rule. Anybody have a link for this new regulation?
  12. I just went and picked up my mount for my Muzzle loader buck from last year, and I couldn't be happier with it. Like always, Terry's Taxidermy out of OKC did a great job! They're certainly not the fastest around, but it's sure worth the wait. He's at my office right now, but he may just ride around strapped into my front seat for a couple weeks!!!! Here's a couple pics, enjoy. In the woods..... On the Ground...... In the truck..... On the wall.....
  13. What river were you on? Great fish and nice to have another Okie on the board!!!
  14. Re: pretty cool picture Was this pic taken in Elk City?

    It's Saturday!

Re: It\'s Saturday! I've got my boat locked and loaded!!! I'm gonna be on the water all day tomorrow. I gonna try to get into some crappie, a little bassin' of course, and maybe run a few jugs tomorrow night. Good luck anglers!!!
  16. Re: I love my wife, pic. Wow! I would really like to see some more pics of that shed!!!
  17. Re: Back from Florida Bassin\' PICS!!!! [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] No, we didn't keep them. My buddy is going to do a mount of the 11 pounder, so we just got measurements, and a lot of pics. Most of the females were about to spawn, so we let all go back to their beds. [/ QUOTE ] Very classy move. If you notice the tail on the bass in the second pic, you'll see that she came off of a bed. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, she was the largest of the trip, and she looked like she could burst at any moment.
  18. Re: what kind of boat... I have a G3 175pro w/ a 70hp Yamaha that I use for lakes and a little two-man for hittin the ponds. The two-man is at least 15 years old, I think its a bassbuster brand.
  19. Re: Winter weary bass Its hard to beat an H&H spinnerbait in Oklahoma farm ponds. If the water clarity is low I like throw home colors... red and white H&H's.
  20. Re: Oklahoma deer I've been getting pics of full racks, half racks and smooth headed bucks. I guess its still up in the air right now, but it shouldn't be long until they're all on the ground.
  21. Re: Back from Florida Bassin\' PICS!!!! [ QUOTE ] Awesome fish!!! Did you keep them?? And did you guys catch your own bait or buy them??? I've had a heckuva time catchin shiners that big. [/ QUOTE ] No, we didn't keep them. My buddy is going to do a mount of the 11 pounder, so we just got measurements, and a lot of pics. Most of the females were about to spawn, so we let all go back to their beds.
