  1. Thanks guys. Okay, I've made up my mind......NOT the same deer. Now, my next question is this: Where is that first buck then????????????? Maybe I'll catch him on the camera next time I check it.
  2. Thanks. We dont have any food plots or planted fields. We only really concentrate on herd management, and we are in our 9th year of pretty heavy management. We take between 25 and 30 does every year, and an average of 4 or 5 mature bucks. We use to say it has to be 10 pts or better, but we changed it to "mature" bucks only (at least 4 yrs old). Like I said we don't utilize food plots, but we are fortunate enough to hunt in an environment that offers tons of forage. Pair all of that with above average genetics, and you start to see deer like the ones above. Getting them on camera is pretty easy. Putting them in the truck is a different ballgame.
  3. I dont have any experience with the Stealth, but I do with the Bad Boy Buggy. In fact, I will be using one this season. You definately sacrafice speed and power when you switch to a golfcart type rig from a Ranger or a Rhino, but I think the fact that its silent outweighs the loss. I haven't had a chance to really test it out yet, but I will let you know of its capabilities, as well as its shortcomings.
  4. Yeah, corn prices are crazy. Wal-Mart and Bass Pro are getting $8 for a 40lbs sack. Thats up over 4 bucks from last year. We buy it bulk, so its a bit cheaper, but its still crazy-high.
  5. What a buck!!!! He is awesome. Good luck.
  6. You may have seen this buck in my other thread. Im pretty sure it is the same buck that I captured on camera last year, but not 100%. The first two pics are from 2007, followed by this years pics. If it is the same buck, he is not as impressive as he was in 2007. He appears to be a bit heavier horned, but looks to have lost a few inches. The second buck pictured is definately the same one that I have got pics of the last few years. Just thought you might enjoy seeing his growth. He has added a lot of mass, but lost a few points. I wish putting them on the ground was as easy as getting them on film. Thanks for any opinions and comments!!!! The buck we call "The Boy" Think its the same buck?????????????????? The buck we call "Jester" 2007 2008
  7. No, unfortunately not. Buck number 3 is possibly the same deer, but Im not completely sure. If it is, his rack seems to be on the downward slide. I'm still undecided on the issue, because I was thinking he was only a 3.5-4.5 year old, which would be pretty young to be digressing in rack size. I will add another post later tonight, with pics from the past years and we'll see what everyone thinks.
  8. I live in Norman, but do all my deer hunting down in Johnston County. Boomer!!!!!!!
  9. Here are the best 3 bucks that I've caught on camera so far this year. And the biggest pig so far. Enjoy! Please feel free to guess at the scores of each buck! Thanks....Jerdan. BUCK # 1- BUCK # 2- BUCK # 3- AND, MR. BACON!!!!!
  10. On my last truck I had Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos, and they were awesome tires. Great traction in any conditions, and I was very pleased with the tread life. I think I had 45,000 miles on them when I sold my truck and they still had quite a bit of life in them. My new truck came with Good Year AT's on it, and I've put almost 50,000 miles on them and they are getting pretty bald. I really would like to put another set of Duelers on there, but they dont offer them in a 20''. I've also had good luck with BFG A/Ts. Bridgestones, Good Years or BFG's would be my 3 picks.
  11. I used kool-aid for hogs, but never heard of it for deer. Anybody??????

  16. Jessi the Labradoodle as a puppy, with Ted. Jessi at age 3 Ted and Jessi waiting while I pump gas.
  17. I put in for Elk and Goats, can't wait to find out! This is my first try, hope I get lucky!
  18. I had no idea that Shad could get that big. Very cool.
  19. Yeah, it was a bit of a circus, but not too bad. My partner and I were in a two man boat, and we had to switch places because the fish was caught up a bit. She came out of the water once, but she really just went towards deeper water. Decent fight, but not epic.
  20. Hit this fat girl on a Swim Senko this last Saturday morning. 7 lbs 5 0z was just big enough to win big fish at our tourney.
  21. I like that term. Thats how I fish most of my soft plastics, just never had a name for it! Thanks!
