I pay attention to the moon,but I also hunt as much as I can. The moon just lets me know what kind of activity I will see. I don't know why everyone gets so gitty over the rut,its the pre rut when the big boys are roaming their home turf alot. once rut starts he could be 5 miles down the road hooking up whith any doe who will have him. Deer runing around like chickens with thier heads cut off.I like to get into a bucks core area set up wait untill,oh lets see right now get him on his own turf were he is comfertable. These bucks move alot more now then most people think. 90% of the bucks I killed were around the third week of october.I have been after a twelve pt for 5 years now and let me tell ya he is huge, upper 190's for sure atleast thats what his shedds scored last year. Any way I have seen him way more in october than an other month come rut I have only seen him a cuple of times.If you search past poasts in the shed hunting room I poasted a pic of one of his sheds from two years ago. I have a bushnell ir and not far from that I have a cudde no flash and in none month time 542 pics on cudde 96 on bushnell. These deer are passing by one and heading to the other. Pics on the cudde are very clear in the day and descent at nght. bushnell not so good.

If its warm out during rut the deer wil move more at night.I wana say about 5 years ago it was pretty warm here and I was getting alot of big bucks on my trail cams but nothing during daytime hours. This is a very good spot and needles to say I got skunked that year.

Think about it this way,every critter inthe woods is active including prediters. The deer in my area tend to be scarce at this time and when they do move they are at full alert makeing it hard to fool their senses. I like to hunt 1\4 moon over head right at dark or under foot at first light.And if I hunt on a full moon I see most of my deer between 9:00am to 11:00am. good luck to all.

Not sure if he is or not. The will definetly loose tine length after they reach their prime and gain more mass but that is to much for me to think it is the same deer. I would be pumped for season for sure.

6.5 or older Sag in a deers back usualy aprears after 5.5. If I had to judge on rack wich is hard to do I would say he is past his prime.

I have tried the supperglide and they were pretty easy to load. I shot alitte better with regular shockwaves though. I was using 250gr bullet and 150gr of powdwer.

Notice the huge sway in his back. I would say at least 5.5 but probably older. Thats a real good deer.

Going from big timber to small timber hunting is a big change. Deer are very weary so bring you A game. If you want to hunt big timber that is loaded with deer check out the shawnee forest its free hunting. Also hunters are always talking about how good the deer hunting is in november but if it is a big buck you want the third week in october is the time to be here.

The grass weeds are definitly the problem at fist I thought is pat of the the biolagic but I planted each product in its own spot and what I think is grass weeds is coming up in all of it. It's hard to tell whats what when your not realy sure what every thing you planted is suppost to look like. As far as a fall planting goes my brother, whom I share this spot with thinks It will realy mess up the hunting if we are out there planting that time of year. Maybe after the weeds over take us this time he will listen to me. God forbid the younger brother be smater!!!

How long should I wait to spay a newly planted plot. I planted on 5-10-08 every thig is coming up good and the weeds have started come up to. I planted a mix of stuff. .5 ac of bio logic priemum prenial, monster mix, chicory and evalved habitats shot plot and I hope I can use arrest on all this. Suold I spay now?

Is poast and arrest the same thing or is one better than the other. I am having a hard time finding a place that sells poast so I thaught I would just use aresst.Also how much water to mix it with? I will be spraying about two acers.

Any info on whats new this year in game cams? Cudde backs sure came down in price I wounder if there is a new model coming out. I want to buy another cam this year but I dont want to buy one now only to have a new model come out a month later.
