I always have a drink and some snacks in the pack. I also take along my MP3 player, Battleship game, and a book. 98% of my reading for the year is from a treestand!

Today was the first day of sixteen days the state of WI is making me take off without pay. The governor instituted that all WI state employees take 16 furlough days over the next two years. Seems that WI's budget needs some fixing and this is Gov. Doyle's solution to save a buck or two. One down...15 to go!

What a deal! I picked up a two person stand similar to yours at Walmart a few years back. I think I paid around $100. As far as setting it up...I've set mine up by myself. It's actually easier than one might think. Obviously it is easier with two people but one person can do it. Hope the two of you have a great time sitting in your "steal" stand!:clown:

I think that here in WI, trespassing is trespassing, posted or not. Putting up signs is just a "convienience" to let others know where they are. Under Wisconsin law, you are not required to post “No Trespassing” signs or identify your property boundaries unless your land is surrounded by or borders public lands like a national forest, state wildlife management area, or county park. Any person who enters your land or stays without your specific permission is considered to be trespassing (Wisconsin State Statute 943.13 1997).

I have Verizon. When I called home, my reception was better calling the house from there than when I was sitting in my own driveway. I would lose signal down in the draws but a short hike uphill and I had great reception.

Today is my mom's birthday. Not sure how old she is or that she would even tell me. Anyways, I got up early this morning and made some muffins. On the way out the door I went to one of the flower beds I have and picked some lillies. Took a drive over to my parents and surprised her with my "treats" for her on her day! Needless to say, I have the happiest mom in the world right now!!!

I am going on a hog hunt in October in Oklahoma. I was wondering what size cooler would I need? I will most likely have two pigs to bring back. The outfitter dresses out and cuts it. I will be travelling back to Wisconsin. I do not want to spend a fortune on a cooler that will only be used once a year. Any suggestions? Thanks Jeff
