Re: Game Tracker Yeah i used one on my first deer i took with a bow, a three pointer, i laughed when i read this post because that thing was CRAZY, i shot this deer with this thing and it was like i had a 150 pound bass on the line. that string was coming out so fast i thought my bow stabilizer was going to catch on fire"because thats where i mounted. The only problem i found was that the string didnt lay down nice and neat it was all caught in the trees and brush.I was hunting from a treestand so the string was up high then the deer turned left so my string went left but not on the blood trail. Anyway i did find my deer he only ran maybe 70 yards. I took off that thing and said forget all that crazyness

Re: What does you license cost? i Hunt out of state with a bow for whitetail deer it cost me to hunt, $130 plus $25 archery stamp and another $25 for a second buck stamp, so total $180 then i got to pay for air fair to get there,ouch

Re: Accessories for Trophy Ridge vertical pin sight i Have used this light and it worked ok but i couldnt get used to the vertical pins, seems like i was getting lost when aiming at a deer so i went back from $100 sights to my $35 sights i like them so far probably that im just used to them is all, had i kept the trophy ridge one i might have gotten used to them

Re: just got a new place to hunt Man thats great news, what does a hunt lease on a farm like that go for anyway. Dosnt it seem like in the last 5 years hunting has gone through the roof. I dont know if its all the bass proshops popping up everywhere driving people to the outdoors or the tv shows making it look like a stroll in the park. But where the heck are all these "hunters" coming from I was just brought up that hunting is something you do for family time and fun, it just seems like some guys do it to be cool or something. I dont know maybe its just me feeling the pressure from other hunters. good luck on your lease ,sure would be nice if this was just a fad then maybe we wouldnt need to lease hunting land like are forfathers did

Re: Sooner or Later?? seems like each year it dosnt get cold until later and later, i used to come in the first friday of octorber and hunt. It would be pretty cold in the early morning , that seem to make the deer move alot. but the last couple years it seems its still warm early october. anyway im coming the first friday of october and looks like now instead of the sept. 15 opener i`ll go maybe third week of october because after that those deer on public land are just GONE!

Re: Sooner or Later?? I hunt in maryland, on public land after the 2nd week of october early muzzleloader seanson comes in. Those deer after that are real nervous

Re: Expandables I used a mech. broadhead last year for the first time and it did the job but not alot of blood it was a nap three bladed broadhead. The buck only went like 40 yards or so good thing i would have never found him. The shot was a little further back and high which could explain some of the blood not being there but still? Good luck

I hunt out of state and i have to fly to get there, I can go ealy in september for opening day and then again in october or go in october 2 nd week and again later. So when? I dont like the bugs nats and flys but im iching to go ? What do you guys think for whitetails?

Re: treestands i use an api bow hunters stand but befor that i used an alumi lite"that thing was not light at all. i like my api but i have found if you take a fat belt like off a fanny pack and attach it it the botttom section of your stand it takes the weight off of your shoulders and puts it on your hips like you dont even have anything on your back!! works great for those long treks into the woods
