Re: Broadhead Choice Fixed or Mechnical Hey thanks guys for the great input i was not aware of the whole ke thing but now i have some work to do like find out my bow speed i have been shooting thunderhead 125 grain for fixed and 125 nap mech. that mechical blade put it down fast but those fixed for me leave alot of blood ....I think if you hit them good there should be blood and an easy recovery

Re: luck from deer lures? i Had put some tinks 69 out in one of those orange cans and had a buck pass me, got down wind of me and the sent and came right back but i think it may have to do with the time of year also you use it

Re: luck from deer lures? i use a tinks sent bomb little orange can put some on it and set it out about twenty yards on a deer trail so i can get a shot

Re: Broadhead Choice Fixed or Mechnical i shoot a browning mirage 1.5 with " im guessing 60 pounds of pull" aluminum arrows 125 grain wisker biskit, string leachs, mechincal release i think thats it

Re: Broadhead Choice Fixed or Mechnical Thanks Vtbowman i shoot compound and killed a 6 pointer last year with mech. The shot was a little far back and left very little blood but was a pass through .. But thankfuly he only ran 40 yards. But when i used fixed there seems to always be alot of blood to find maybe just a odd shot placement

Re: Public Hunting Areas i Have hunted public land deer for all my hunting life which is 15 years and i can tell you from my experience that you have to go where no one else goes. It could be further or longer but thats where i have found my deer and as for a trophy on public land, They are far and few between because everyone is after mister big horns.

I cant decide fixed or mechical broadheads. Im hunting from a treestand and have tried both am unsure, what do you think?

Re: NEW Block 4x4 target... i Have the old style block and it worked well until i used broadheads on it then it started to drasticly come apart think i might switch to the new one but i have to go buy some lotto tickets first..

Re: Adrenaline It frustrates me to see big deer on a property and i cant hunt there. because of Urban suburbs popping up. I hunt all day to see maybe a doe or two and drive home and see Huge deer Whats up with that?
