im gonna get out on friday afternoon to hunt at giant city state park illinois, havent been able to get out yet cause of school, so its gonna be the first time in the stand this year, and i wanna know if anyone in the southern part of IL has seen any bucks starting to chase the does or following them any sign of pre rut yet?

ive been shooting winchester dryloks and supremes, mainly dryloks for many years and they are the 3.5 2's and 3's 1 9/16 oz for ducks and they travel 1300 fps and now this year winchester came out with the new dryloks with the 1550 fps and i wanna know if anyone has shot them yet or heard anything about them, if they are as good as the original dryloks

hunted my blind on the illinois river in marseilles IL for the central opener, worst opening weekend ever, had three guys both days, saturday did not see many ducks at all, few woodies but got burned to many times to shoot, no mallards only seen about 20 or so, no mallards shot, got 6 geese 3 man limit, sunday seen a few more mallards only got a hen, and we got 6 more geese, goose hunting was good but duck hunting was bad, ducks did not want to seem to decoy or respond to calls, never seen that before for the opener, guess northern zone scared them a little, so all in all pretty bad opener, howd everyone else do

Re: PHYSCHED UP AND READY TO GO BOYS!!!!!!! here in illinois the opener opens up in two days on the 29th, ive been counting em down and having trouble sleeping, got everything ready to go and head out, cant wait till saturday morning rolls around and its 6:54 am for that first shooting light, hopefully wack em and stack um, good luck to every on there on opening day, and lets get the ducks before they get to the southern hunters, lol jk, ill be down for the southern IL opener too hopefully we kill em then too, good luck guys

Re: some rough weather huntin pics awesome pics man, now thats a love for the sport of duck hunting, taking it to the max, there have been a few times ive taking it to the extreme like that, can be dangerous but sometimes that stuff can pay off

Re: Let\'s talk about shotgun shells.... heavy shot aint worth the price, kent and federal just sucks along with estates and all that cheap stuff, only 2 types of shells have ever came out of my duck gun in 6 years of duck hunting have been winchester supremes and winchester dryloks, in 3 1/2 dueces and 3's for ducks with a full choke or modified depending on the shot situation, and 3 1/2 BB's for geese with a full choke out of my 870 supermag, the supremes and dryloks are the way to go, best shells on the market

Re: Good All around shotgun i would definately go with the 870 super mag its a perfect all around gun with an acceptional price and they are completely indestructible
