  1. A pop sounds like tendons or ligaments Muff . Get it checked out and taken care of. Hope ya feel better soon. BTW...I was on the Ice at Madison Square garden today . My company had us doing a small job there the last few days .
  2. Hope she feels better soon Norm. Moms are VERY special. Prayers headed her way.
  3. Happy Birthday Ben . I didn't forget about the skulls;).
  4. Thanks guys...I got the Tri Rail from a vendor on Ebay. It came with the vertical fore grip and double mag clamp. The tri rail forend is a bit weaker than the OEM one, but the strongest one so far. We'll see how it holds up. It is a 2nd generation fore end. Have not had a chance to shoot it yet. They spec only hi vel .22lr. The scope mount came from Gun broker.com. Most of the receiver is polymer/cast aluminum with steel in critical places. It points very nice and balances well. The Red dot I had laying around. I bought it to put in on a turkeygun and it never made it there. My boys asked about a MP5 in 9mm a while back. Those rifles are pre ban guns and the current ones NY legal are in the $2000 range. This was a good alternative cheaper alternative in affordable .22lr . Yup...My 13 year old son Mike was all smiles Christmas day.
  5. This was my sons Christmas present. I have been ordering stuff from all over trying to get this bad boy all set up and tricked out. Got the tri rail fore end, scope mount, TruGlo red dot, vertical fore grip, only wish here in NY we could have the collapsible stock to make it bad azz...Just need a flashlight...maybe a Sure Fire or a green laser...Hmmm. This is a GSG5 in .22lr. A copy of the HK MP5. BTW...that is a phony suppressor...I can ONLY wish one day, but never here in NY . Whatcha think? It is in good company next to my M4 . In its original form.
  6. I just had my Axis deer meat shipped up to me from Texas last week. The processor told me UPS wanted over $400 to ship 115lbs of meat in 2 boxes( 2 day shipping)! He wound up going with FedEx to ship the same stuff, 2 day; for less than half of what UPS charges. Shipping prices are out of control, fuel delivery surcharges are still being charged! INSANE!
  7. Welcome to the forums! You met two very good Ambassadors of our sport . Stick around you will like it here.
  8. Society has gotten lazy as a whole. People want things to be easy and many put NO effort into making their life better. My Dad was a General contractor and whenever I had time off from school, he had me mixing mortar by hand as often as he could for his bricklayers. The brickies would scrape the mortar tubs and let my Pop know they needed mortar and POW! I would get a slap in the head and told to mix more and work faster. Pops theory was to make me too tired to go out and get into trouble. It worked, when I got home I ate and passed out. My sons, 3 of em all shoveled/shovel snow and raked leaves and have had jobs at some point in their life so far. My oldest Joe, bought his own AR-15(through me of course) when he was 15 all on his own. I am teaching work ethics to my boys...Count on it . My son AJ(16) has a lazy streak in him, but all I have to do is dangle a piece of cheesecake in front of him and he comes to life:p.

  18. Just got finished running( for motor and gas line health) just about ALL of my gas powered equipment. It was time to run my generators, so why not pull out the mower, wood chipper, weed wackers, dirt bikes(3), 2 stroke pole saw. It was very noisy for a while. I added some STA-BIL to the fuel of each and put them all back. Couch time now til dinner.
  19. Glad you and the Family are OK. Talk about staring destruction in the face!
  20. I hear ya Matt! When is it gonna end? The snow is so heavy too, I'm worried about the roof on my trailer at our deer camp/country house . My neighbor told me the lower Catskills got around 30", he told me don't even bother coming up to the house. You'll never even get close to the door. Guess I just have to wait for the BIG meltdown.
  21. My self and a few other guys I know wrote letters to Yellow Tail regarding this issue. Maybe the squeeky wheel did get the grease.
  22. I ABSOLUTELY hate moving! My Dad was a home builder when I was young, and he'd build and we would live in them a while. Then he sold and we moved into the next one...You ready...9 times! All in the same area and schools though. But as far as packing and moving...never want to do it again until retirement.
  23. I got it! The ceel phone pic of the winning yote of the contest. Man this is a BIG dog... They temperature test and necropsy each yote for this contest. Biologists are present.
  24. Just got my meat yesterday...115lbs of Axis deer. I had some of the chop meat mixed with brisket as suggested by the processor. Everything else...steaks. 2 day shipping was quite expensive:eek::chair:. Looking forward to that sweet tender meat on the grill . I need to go back there and out of this snow/cold .
