  1. You two had an awesome hunt! That was really cool to see and hear the excitement! Congrats to both of you on a successful hunt. There is no reason to point out where the shooter is and the camera man. I know Dan probably knew it before hand.
  2. Suprisingly Home Depot carries is for only $13.00 a bag. My dad just told me they have some at work though. Just enough for me to use on the plot. Thanks for the info though.
  3. Apparently I didn't look hard enough. I guess Home Depot sells it.
  4. I need to get 13-13-13 fertilizer for my plot, but can't find it anywere except online. Can anyone recommend a certain brand? I'm thinking I have to buy it online.
  5. Mineral station is at most 200 yards away from plot. Creek crossing is about 100 yards away from Mineral Station. Mineral Station is down in the lower part of the property. Really thick back there and tons of sign all year long. Every evening I heard deer crossing the creek during the warm months. Kels and I are getting really serious this year about the property. I've had two years to figure things out. The third year will be exceptional I hope.
  6. The seed only needs about 4 hours of sunlight per day. The more the better of course. Thats why I cut out some of the bigger trees in the middle of the area. It's pretty open above the plot.
  7. Well after 14 hours of hard work my first food plot is under way. I'll be planting Whitetail Institute's No Plow seed because of the area. There is no way I could get any type of machinery back here. Started off by cutting down all the brush. I took out a couple bigger trees too. All done with a hand saw from Outdoor Edge. After cutting all the limbs I used the leaf blower. Finally after that I raked out the whole area and sprayed it down with weed killer. Will be back to plant in a couple of weeks. The size of the plot is about 25 x 15 yards.I found it amazing that I could do all this with mostly hand tools. I also made the homemade mineral I posted about a while ago. Well I had to go back to the property the next day. By my suprise there were already deer tracks all over the mineral. Can't wait to check trail camera pictures. 8. Hey everyone its been awhile. Been really busy with school and work! Spent the last two days making a spring food plot and putting minerals out for the deer. Still waiting on turkey season though. Only 3 weeks away! Congrats on the birds guys.
  9. Leo the slow motion shot was awesome! I could literally see the shot going right that bird's noggin! Very nice pattern and you sure got him good. Congrats on yet another successful day.

  12. Going to check out the our area on Friday. I'm pumped for May.
  13. Friend had an 82nd, but switched to his commander. He liked the 82nd, but loves his Commander. Shoot the commander once and you'll see what I mean.
  14. Way to go on introducing this wonderful sport to a friend! I bet he'll be hooked after this spring.
  15. Hopefully I'll get to see the rack in person on Friday. A great story and accomplishment for that gentleman.
  16. Deershed I think you need to share the wealth lol! What do you do with all the sheds that you collect every year? I bet you have thousands! Congrats on all the finds so far and I wish you many more.
  17. How do you figure? lol I can see a tail. Very strange Don for sure. Kels and I had encounters with twins with all white spots in November last season.
  18. We have some giant birds where I'll be hunting. Last year one of my buddies took the #3 archery bird in the state out of there. Weight 27 lbs, 11 or 11.5" beard, and 1 3/8" spurs.
  19. Maceration. Plus I have a few other tricks up my sleeve to improve the process.
  20. Finished all my customer skulls for the year finally! The buck I shot this year is being whitened right now. Fisher. The guy wanted the skull to go with his mount.

    today

That is a really cool design! One suggestion from a guy who does skulls. Don't use bleach! Go to a drug store and get regular Hydrogen peroxide. If you have more questions on how I do it without getting antlers whitened shoot me private message!
  22. Gobbler Asssassins sounds great! Turkeys better watch out for the Rage 2 Blade I'll be shooting at them this year. Going for number two boys! I'm glad to be on the team though! Dakota where are you going for turkeys this year?
  23. Some pictures of the whole gun might help.
  24. That looks great and welcome to the forum! I would suggest making the signatures 400x100 pixels though. Like said before the mods will get one ya for making them too big.
  25. That is a huge bull moose! Amazing hunt too thats for sure. I just watched a moose hunt on Outdoor Channel and a bull the guy shot started to fight the other one. It was a really cool to watch. Thanks for sharing the video!
