  1. Re: How long can it take? did you give him any $$ down.. they prolly hear "i want one" all day. call and check if he ordered it
  2. Re: cheep broadheads [ QUOTE ] When you go to a high quality sporting goods store expect to pay a little for their knowlege and advice. The only time i shop for hunting equipment at walmart is when I know exactley what I want. If not I will go to a retailer like Bass Pro or Cabelas. [/ QUOTE ] to an extent... the bass pro here in va is a good store dont get me wrong, but the guys selling the stuff no nothing about it. its just a $10 an hour job to them. i wouldnt ask there advice for anything. if you want real advice, come to internet forums like this, real people, real hunters, real answers
  3. Re: I took the Mathews Challenge.................. mathews all the way..
  4. Re: Scent Blocker/Lok [ QUOTE ] You could also store it in the new Ziploc extra large bags they now make. Those are under $5.00 for 2 to 3 per box and are big! [/ QUOTE ]thats cheap.. i spent 65 on mine a bps last year
  5. Re: who wins in a fight? [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Charles Ingalls or Heathcliffe Huxtable? Battle of the TV Dads! [/ QUOTE ] Oh! Good matchup... My first reaction was Charles but because he was a good Christian man ill have to say Cliff... Charles was a hardworker and had some guns from building barns and such but would probably turn the other cheek. [/ QUOTE ] You obviously haven't watched much Little House on the Prairie.............. Mr. Ingalls would whoop the snot outta Heathcliff. [/ QUOTE ] Gotta agree with Andrea here. Charles Ingalls turned the other cheek, but when it came time that he had not choice but to defend himself, he was a pretty tough man. [/ QUOTE ]got to go to homer for this one by way a kimura americana. peter got his butt kicked by a chicken!
  6. Re: bow speed ratings i have hree pins, 1st is to 25,30 2nd is 40 and the 3rd is 50. but i try not to shoot past 40.

  9. Re: SWEET ANTICIPATION! good luck to you also. keep us posted and tae some pics!
  10. Re: bow speed ratings yeah speed is not a factor as far a bragging rights, but as said before,(hutchies). its not for speed but arow drop. im not sure about everyone elses bows, but i shoot the same pin to 25 yards and if i hold high, 30 yards. thats the ason i wanted a faster bow.
  11. Re: Fire call the other night that fella hasnt done his job on earth yet.
  12. Re: Scent Blocker/Lok spend the extra $$ and get a scent blocker bag. thats what i did. and so far it has worked great.
  13. Re: Anyone else have a safety harness? tell you the truth, i have always hunted out of a climber, si i havent wore one either, but this ear i bought o harness and plan on wearing it. mainly because i will be hunting out of a few hang ons this year(and i hunt high). but also i have a wife and two children. i dont wanna end up hurt bad or even worse killed. tell him its worth it, and if he dont wanna splurge to buy a harness, at least get a strap. something is better than nothing.
  14. Re: bow speed ratings ha ha .. thats kinda what i was expecting to tell you the truth. i know it wouldnt be 318-320 like they advertise, but i thought it would be faster than it is by numbers anyway. but im perfectly happy with mine. shoot fast enough, as accurate as can be, and kills a crap load of wildlife!
  15. Re: Night Watch, Cool Story! pretty god story.. makes you think
  16. Re: finally!!! Congrats on your first bow kill. as said befo, you'll nevr forget it. now get a european mount and keep it forever! betcha cant do it again!
  17. Re: bow speed ratings so under those standngs, it seems as if my bow shoots fairly fast. i had a frind tell me that my bow shoots slow after i told him what it chrono'ed, and he rides me over it, but he wont get his done. and by the eye my bow seems to shoot as fast as hois does. i appreciate it tony, thanks
  18. Re: Been doing some scouting set up a camera and find out which one it actually is.. also find out what time he frequnts the area ,,, and be there opening day, bow in hand.
  19. Re: Let the dream commence............. i shoot year round, and sometimes i get in slumps as if i cant hit the barn at 10 yards. and others i feel like no one in this world is as good as me. but no matter how much i practice, as the season nears, i find myself wondering as well..
  20. i try to consider myself a very good bow hunter in all aspects. but one question seems to be haunting me by not knowing. i shoot a mathews switchback,wb, and easton epic arrows with a 28'' draw and 100 gr. tips. i chrono'ed my bow and it shot 247, 246, 247 fps. i know there is a difference between ibo(advertised) and amo, but what exactly is it and how do they each come up wih there figures? i feel like a retard not knowing this... dont rub it in!
  21. Re: Corn Field Deer... depends on where he is coming from. location of bedding area...as bo joe said, i would try to incorperate the natural funnel as much as possible. stay down wind, and get in early.
  22. Re: What kind of broadhead to get? rocket aeroheads all day. i belive they wee bought out this year by trophy ridge, but i have a supply of them, so i didnt need to but any. fly true, get great penitration, and are very reliable
  23. Re: Morristown NJ Deer (5 pics) yeah my thoughts exactly. its kinda cool seeing them, but for thier safety they need to be removed.
  24. Re: Downloadable Graph for Foodplots im in on this also.. i have had some really good success on the food plots that i have made over the last couple seasons.
  25. Re: First early season bow hunt... i was thinkin the same thing
