Heck yeah the kid's paying attention. He's gettin' stoned off the glue. No wonder he wants on your lap. Feel the buzz man. LMBO. Just kiddin' buddy. That is a cute pic. I got two little dolls I want to take huntin with me too. As soon as Emi can understand how to shoot where I tell her to, it's on.
-
I went with the QAD Hunter and they clear even a F.O.B. when you put the right aperture on. Full containment, drop away and smooth shooting. Less moving parts and easier to adjust when you need to. Not to mention it's only $50.
-
Try the F.O.B.'s. They are only $20 a dozen and no glue required. You'll love them but you have to shoot a drop away rest with them. I just bought my set and they are as accurate as any properly tuned arrow i have shot. Just an idea i strongly recommend.

I won't be able to respond to this thread for a few weeks, so bare with me. I am having a problem with lining up my sight, rest and strings. I laser shot the string, rest and sight but for some reason, my sight will not line up with the laser. I can't move it over far enough for the laser to hit it along with the string, cams and rest as well. It's a little too far to the left and the only thing I can think of is to put a spacer in between the sight mount and the riser. Confusing as all get out and it seems like maybe the knock laser isn't as accurate as it's supposed to be. Any thoughts as to what I need to do to ensure the tuning? I have a basic knowledge about tuning but this one has me a little confused. I haven't shot any of my new arrows since I put my new rest and sight on. Trying to start out right the first time. Thanks for your help in advance.

Technically he's not media, he's a radio talk show host and probably has more listeners than Hannity during prime listening hours. Personally he should be be on during Hannity's time since I think he's way better anyway. You gotta love his reasoning most of the time. We disagree on a few things but not very many.

Thank God we have women like Lori Morgan and Miranda Lambert to represent how real Country women should act. I think that little vegetablarian should shut up and go eat her tofu. Besides, Miranda's a **** of a lot hotter than that little whiney singer. Notice how all of her songs sound exactly alike? American Idol my arse.

I remember when this product came to light a few years ago on here and this is what we heard so far. For starters, it won and international inventors award based on simplistic ideas. Basically, it won somewhere around $50,000 and beat out over 25,000 other inventions. The magnet used is stamped out of earth magnet which is the strongest non electrical magnets in existence. The arrow locks into place as if it's on a solid rest and is so strong, that the arrow will bend before you can push it to one side or another. I agree that whoever invented this is making a big mistake by not reducing the price to somewhere reasonable like $75 for the rest and $5 an insert. Smart people can see where it is better than almost any rest out there but the greed in trying to make an instant fortune on it prevents that from happening. I'd buy it for that amount and if it cleared fobs.

For those of us that want to hear a true conservative without the political spin, you won't believe your ears!!! Andrew Wilkow is what all of us have been gripin that we wanted to hear for years now. You can read his bio on Sirius or anywhere for that matter on google. When you google him, you'll see a lot of blogs about him from every angle but the one constant you'll see, is that nobody can break his argument and everyone admits defeat when he talks facts. Everyone ends up admitting that his facts are all correct and he proves conservatism is the correct way of life to improve America. He deals in fact and nothing less. What may impress a lot more people is that he is only 36 years old. He makes Hannity, Limbaugh and Boortz look like amatures. I can't wait til he gets his own television show. For those that don't have Sirius, you really should subscribe and this show is worth every penny alone.

One piece of advice you might want to consider whenever you start thinking government is a reasonable entity. No money ever comes from government without first going through the hands of government. Even while earning money, it was printed in a government building and ultimately came from the government. Nothing ever leaves without costing you and me in some way. All of this "Bailout" crap is simply a filter for our taxes to make it into the hands of the royal politicians. "Silly", you say, but take a look at who was gung ho for all of these bailouts and look at who is on the list of most lobby'd politicians from these same companies. There's your answer. Face it, those in office now are looked at and act like royalty in jolly old England. King Hussein has taken court and I'm afraid their's a new minority in America. No, it's not the Conservative, White, Male, it's the Conservative, White, Female. They're a lot more rare because alot of them have fallen for the Dapper Dictator in D.C. too. Our only hope is not in electing more Republicans into office next year, but electing more true conservatives into office and that means eliminating these pseudo conservatives that all you need to do to get them to switch to the other side is ask them to change seats because the one they have is much more cushionny. I feel better now that I got that out!

Mathew's Outback '05 QAD Ultra Rest Custom String Orange/Flo green Cobra Boomslang 4 pin sight Carbon Express Maxima 350 30" arrows F.O.B. Pink and Green Eastman First Cut Exp 125 broadheads Sims Lab S-coil stabilizer Limbsaver's Stringleeches Alpine Softloc 3 arrow quiver Cobra 360 release D-Loop I haven't shot with my new rest, arrows, sight, FOB's or broadheads but I have shot the broadheads in a 100 gr. I am switching to a heavier broadhead to increase my FOC along with a slightly longer arrow. I have to shoot a drop-away rest with the FOB's and I think this combo will work. I can't wait to start practicing.

Ok... how can it be racist when Nancy Pelosi is the one that wrote the stimulus along with her gang (other members of the house) of Libs? People really need to do a little research before calling something racist. I guess that's part if not all of the problem with Americans today. They take everything at face value.

Welcome to the forums Allen and I'm sure you've got a lot to share with us. This is one of the greatest places on the internet where we can share campfires with everyone from pros to Joe's. No pun intended. Nice to have you here and we all hope you learn to love this forum as we have.

Amateurs!!! For all those that own a Weber classic round charcoal grill... here's the smackdown on what to do. First, prepare your coals in one of the charcoal starters with a handle on the side. It works great for this purpose and you can put the coals precisely where you need em'. When coals are mostly gray, pour them all on one side of the grill's coal rack as tightly as you can to that side. Next, prepare your ribs by marinating them in a combination rub of lemon juice, olive oil, hickory smoke salt and lemon zest rub. Let them sit for as long as you can but no less than an hour or two. When coals are ready, place ribs on grill rack opposite side from coals. If you can get some green limbs from an apple, pear, peach, or any other fruit tree, then place them on top of the coals. Let this smoke, covered with slight ventilation for one hours. This is ample time to infuse the smokey flavor yet prevent carbonizing the color of the meat. After one hour, remove ribs and wrap them in a air tight foil tent where you roll down the top and leave a tent shape for the steam to circulate inside the aluminum foil. Put more coals on top of the red coals to increase heat. Let it cook for at least 3 to 4 more hours. With 30 mins to go, poke a couple holes in the bottom of your foil to drain grease. Then pour your favorite sauce on ribs and reseal leaving on grill. Remove ribs then foil and slice along sternum line edge about one inch deep or less. Then, when it's cooled, slide cartilidge and ribs from meat and enjoy!!! You will eat some of the most tender ribs you've ever enjoyed.

I just bought some of these and am waiting on their arrival. From my understanding, they are like the difference in a prop plane and a jet engine. A prop plane has, of course, a propeller and a jet engine is a forced air design. The ring ensures a stabilizing effect for balance as well as direction of air being forced in between the blades of the fob. Propellers have open ended blades that simply move the air that is around them instead of it being forced in between them. Not to mention they have no give when making contact with rest prongs or a whisker biscuit. One slight touch is all it would take to blow up an arrow or do some real damage to a bow. Either way, I still think a drop away is the way to go. I haven't shot one of these yet but the principles are aerodynamically sound. Does anyone remember the toy guns when you were a kid that had the disc with a prop and you wound it up, aimed it into the air and pulled the trigger. That disc shot up about 20 or 30 feet. Same principle.

So you want to be a "Hunting Pro?"
BowJoe replied to Team Realtree's topic in The Realtree Pro Staff Room
The way I've always looked at it, in order to become a household name in any industry whether it be sports or business or hunting, you have to either be the best at what you do or present the best product in your field. You don't become the best by luck or someone giving it to you. You may be given a shot but what you do with it is what counts in anyone's eyes. That's why celebrities carry no weight with me at all. Yeah, they might be the best actor or at least in a movie or on a show but that doesn't mean they will be a standout for their talent. Where I get a little annoyed is when they throw their hat into the political ring but only to endorse a candidate they know nothing about. Many actors have never graduated college let alone studied politics or anything other than themselves in a mirror. People like Michael, Tiffany and Lee, Bill, David, Travis and a select few others have all got one thing in common... they all have a knack for what they do and most of the time, it's completely natural. Like any athlete or business executive, they have worked hard to get where they are today but it has also come very natural to them and their persona. You won't find many that would argue when they say what you see is what you get. I'm sure they may be slightly different when completely off camera but that may only include a few bleeps or personal discussions about family or their lives which is none of our business anyway. I respect anyone that achieves this level of celebrity in their own field but rest assured, the cream always rises to the top and it's always floating on stuff that looks the same but is slightly different. -
http://www.dravesarchery.com/ I stop at this place once in a while and they seem alright. Never had any work done but prices seemed the same as other shops. Guys were willing to talk to me and explain things. Might be worth the short drive. Good luck and let us know if you go and what you thought.

Greetings to a fellow Illinoisan. I told Jr. that he can come hunt Rend lake and the surrounding are with me anytime. Somehow, I think he prefers the Bottoms though! LOL.

As much as I hate to correct you, ... your punctuation was wrong. It should have been, "What? That's the next Governor of Alabama!" It's early and I don't feel good, so I had to share.

Actually, as long as you call the local State Police, 99% of the time, they'll tell you to finish it off if injuries appear to be life threatening. I've personally ended a few deer's suffering with a knife without making a phone call. I don't need official word to do what's humane no matter the risk. I just won't let an animal suffer. I was just in that part of Texas 2 weeks ago headed to Conroe, TX. Not used to seeing that many dead deer on the side of the road in such a seemingly unlikely habitat for deer. I know better now.

New show 2009 She's beyond the lodge
BowJoe replied to KKisky's topic in The Realtree Pro Staff Room
Are their any plans to put the seasons on DVD? Are any men going to be allowed on the shows? Kinda nice to see the men be directed around on hunts instead of the women. You've found some loyalty here on the forums so check back often and keep us up to date. Not many things better than beautiful women talking hunting and laying the smackdown on some wildlife!!! I'm jazzed already! -
I'm surprised our hockey freaks on here haven't posted this before me.

Former official pleased with NASCAR settlement.
BowJoe replied to FireStrut's topic in NASCAR and Sports
She is evidently lying about her character in her initial hiring. Any employer asks you questions about your character in a hiring interview. This woman sounds like she was not the best choice of hiring by her constant tardiness, foul mouth, racial slurs made by her and disrespect of the people she interacts with at the tracks. These were all issues reported by her supervisors and co-workers on a regular basis. It sounds to me like she was setting up NASCAR for a lawsuit the whole time. I'm sure she received at least 20 or 30 million for her "troubles". -
I just snotted my eggnog across the room!!!

Former official pleased with NASCAR settlement.
BowJoe replied to FireStrut's topic in NASCAR and Sports
I find it typical of this type of person and no I don't mean black and female. I have personally seen it repeatedly in my work history. You have one of two sides to be on when you are an employer. Either hire and maintain employees based on work history and their performance or hire them according to needing to fill a job. This person has lied to you in order to get a job they felt they were entitled to or you were blinded by the need to fill this position without looking like a racist or sexist. I think NASCAR's desire (not need) to diversify has blinded them into unsafe hiring practices. Now, not only do they have a multi-million dollar loss on their hands but also a tarnish on their image to the public. I don't doubt that some if not most of her story is probably true. That's not to say Nascar is racist or sexist but I'm sure that as long as humans are on the earth, these things will happen. Making the people of today pay for the sins of our fathers is no way to fix it. Simply put, you can't fix it no matter how much money you pour into it and the question remains as to whether NASCAR really cares about diversity or saving face for a stereotype forced on it by the liberals of the past and present. I have never seen the truth convince somebody you are right nearly as often as a lie does.
