I've shot it with .45 and .410...recoil is not bad at all...in fact was a lot less than I was expecting.

I am going Saturday to pick up my birthday present from my wife. Raging Bull 444 with a 6.5 in barrel in 44 mag. I'm looking for a holster for it. I would prefer a leather holster and just don't seem to be having any luck finding one. Anyone know were to get one?

Obviously it is asking for trouble not to clear a weapon before handing it to someone...that is plain stupid in my book. It is also stupid in my book to keep your weapons and/or ammo locked up where they cannot be grabbed quickly if needed. -

I keep two loaded handguns with rounds in the chamber ready to fire in my room...a .40 on my side and a 9mm on my wifes. If someone breaks on their not going to be nice and stand there while I look for my magazine and chamber a round. -
I always aim one third of the way up from the underside of his body behind the shoulder...that way if he does duck I still get him. Also, I have never shot under a deer but have shot over a few so it makes me feel a little better to hold a tad low.

I shot both today at my local shop because I too am looking for a new bow. I did not like to Reezen at all...draw cycle to me was not as good as the Hoyt and it did have more kick...my personal toss up right now is between a DXT and AM32.

I always use the normal stuff...of course I always try to keep the wind in my favor as much as possible...sometimes it swirls and you get busted but I dont think there is a whole lot you can do about that when you got an animal with a nose that good in front of you.

Flying great for me...this is my first year with them so I dont know how they do on the deer yet...hopefully will find out soon.

I have a 16 or 17 foot ladder that I use a lot of the time. Most of my hunting is in lock on stands around the 18-20 foot area.

Been seeing them all here really late in the evenings as well...nothing in the mornings. They have been coming out in the last few minutes of daylight.
