Re: i just can\'t believe it!
I just moved to colorado from oklahoma, and the prices and procedures are totally different. The new big game regulations just came out last week and I am still reading them for about the 50th time trying to figure out where I can hunt, and where I can afford to hunt. Its nothing like Oklahoma.
Re: Hey Okies...Per Rut Is On...
I also saw a few really working the scrapes last weekend. Its just my luck that I cant be in the woods when the big ones come out. So Dale you better get one of those big ones, cause I am hunting vicariously through you. good luck!
I got out this morning for the first time this year and the deer were going crazy. I didn't see any shooters but I saw 11 doe's and 3 small bucks. From 7:15 till 9:00 this morning there were at least 3 deer in front of me at all times. It was awsome just no shooters, but I still had a BLAST!
Re: Dad-Gum-It!!!!!
I think sometimes a doe will see you some in to the stand and then will make a lot of noise to alert all the other deer in the area, that danger is there. I could be way off with this but it has hapened to me before, and I really thought they saw me come into my stand.
Re: I got the job in colorado!
Thanks for the support and well wishes from everyone
I have never made a move like this before and I am kinda nervous. and also KSdeerhunter03 are there any pronghorn on your land if so, I might take you up on that offer.
Re: I got the job in colorado!
Monday afternoon while I was driving back If I saw one I saw 500 antelope between Colorado springs and Clayton NM. Now for next year I have to figure out the regulations for hunting anything in CO.
I am moving the family to Colorado, my first day to work is going to be the 13th of October. I am going to be a sales rep for a food service company, and will be living in and working the Colorado Springs area. I am super pumped and ready to go. But I am going to miss a lot of deer season this year. What we wont do to better things for our family.
Well I just planted about 3 acres of plotspike, I have never used this before and I am hoping it is a good mis and that I get a good stand. It is suppose to rain here in Ada latter today, so will everyone pray for my plot.
Re: CVA optima magnum
Congrats on the new gun, i also have the optima pro and I love it. I could not get the powerbelts to group at all in mine, and ended up going with the 250 grain shockwave with three 777 pellets and shoot a two inch group at 100yds. Also welcome to the forums There is a lot of info up for grabs here.
Re: Big buck I won\'t be getting!
My father in law said that the game warden got the deer right after he took the picture. He didn't try to get the horns.
My father in law called me first thing this morning and said that, I needed to check my email, when I did I saw this buck. He was killed about 200yds from my feeder, while crossing the highway. I'm bummed.

Re: Which digital trailcam to get?
I have had mine out since July 4th, and the battery still shows 99%. But fI have a solar sharger on it also. total package costs about 190.00.
Re: another tough year for oklahoma food plots?
normally the deer are not touching my feeders this time of year, but I have about a dozen does and fawns that stay there every day. And I have had that feeder there for 8 years now.
Re: How many grains?
that is the same gun that I have, after a lot of time at the range last year the only load that I could find was 150 grains of pellets, and 250 grain shockwave. 1 inch groups at 100yds.
