HAHA nice!!

I have been out a few times. I have seen some deer the only one that presented a shot so far was a small doe. I was looking for something just a bit bigger. I did have a bunch of turkeys around my stand yesterday and to my surprise I had 6 racoons climbing up my ladder to my stand, it was pretty cool to see but as they got closer and closer I realized I did not have room on the platform of my treestand for all of us :D so I had to ask the to leave haha. Going out this weekend and muzzleloader season opens next weekend so I am optimistic that I will see some more deer soon and hopefully have some points soon. Good luck all!!

God luck, I am glad that you did not take a chance at wounding that animal, be patient you will most likely get a better shot. Would hate to see you wound him and not find him and never get the chance at a good broad side shot.

Buring stumps does tak awhile if you have really big stumps, we have tried it a few times and it seemed like it took orever. We are talking about a 40" tree though. I would think small trees would not be to bad. I would guess the quickest way but most expensive would be hiring a tree service.

I have 2 I40 and love them. I know a few other people that have them and they seem to be real happy. Maybe the new changes that moultire made are not as good as they thought they would be. Sorry to hear of your bad luck

I have had a few Sony cameras and really like them, the nice thing about the sony cameras is they usually come with rechargable batteries and chargers. Most of the other brands that i have seen don't. They cost a little more but IMO you are getting a better product. My girlfriend and I have a 7.2 MP and a 10.2 MP right now. Both work great!!

I think that the 243 is a great gun, I have shot a lot of deer with it and I would not trade it for any other gun you gave me!! I have also shot a lot of different animals with my 85 grain sierra spitzer and it does an awesome job.

LOL that is a great idea!! I always like the Seinfeld episode where Jerry has a telemarketer call and he asks them for their home phone number and what time they eat dinner and says that he will call them back at the time they sit down to dinner so he can interupt their dinner every night like the telemarketer interupts his :D ...but I must say the four year old trick is much better haha

Sounds like you are going to be doing an awesome thing in your area Randy, good luck. A little off topic but it goes along with getting involved with kids and getting them hunting, I just signed up with the QDMA mentoring program, which is fairly new with them and they are trying to get people like you involved to help kids in your area to take kids hunting. It consists of getting signed up off the internet form, a background check and then after that is all done they help set you up with a child in the area. Might be something to look into, it looks like it will be a great thing!! Might be another option than "catch a dream", their requirements don't seem to be as difficult to meet

WOW you get to hunt already!! Lucky you. I have to wait a few more weeks and am getting very anxious!! I have seen some nice bucks this summer and am going to try and get my first deer with a bow this year. Good luck and let us know how you do!
