    Only in TX

Re: Only in TX Welcome to small town Texas. Anywhere else and this would seem unusual.
  2. Re: whats your temp. outside [ QUOTE ] Currently (1615 Local) 102 F. Tomorrow expected to be over 110 F [/ QUOTE ] Correction: It hit 111 here today and is expected to be 116 tomorrow.
  3. Re: Saving money on toothpaste! My oldest got $5 for the first and $1 for each one thereafter. Except the third one, he pulled that one himself so the TF left him $2.
  4. Re: whats your temp. outside Currently (1615 Local) 102 F. Tomorrow expected to be over 110 F And it ain't even summer yet.
  5. Re: Is anybody ex-Army or currently enlisted? Says he's an MP??? And Infantry ??? AND a Ranger??? Really ??? Made E5 and kept losing his stripes? Hit his LT while under fire? All this in only 4 years??? Man those must be dog years. As it is now, it takes at least that long to make E5 the first time. But he did it over and over... WOW... If he was an E5 and put his hands on the PL, I would be willing to guarantee they'd be surgically removing the PSG's size 10 from this guys '4th Point of Contact'. Ask to see that scar. What a loser. Cut Sling Load and tell him to quit stealing my oxygen. Oh, and to answer the question... Captain, MP, with a company command under my belt.

    Dixie Chicks

Re: Dixie Chicks [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Bad part is that one of those women is married to Pat Green...............a great Texas musician. Wonder how long the marriage will last. I almost bet that some PR person told them that Bad press is better than no press so they are just out running thier mouth. [/ QUOTE ] While their talent is not in question here, I am definitely not a fan of green either. [/ QUOTE ] None of the three are married to Pat Green. Marty is married to Charley Robison (another Texas musician) They still don't rate listening in my book either, but I can't let Pat Green get roped in with them.

  17. Re: 3 PETA members get 12 years each! I agree, it should have been more for a stunt like that.... digging up a body and then threatening to do it again... Fruitcakes should be in for 25-Life
  18. Re: My new hero! Let me clarify... I'm not saying that he wasn't trying to pitch Bonds inside or even trying to walk him intentionally, I mean he may have just slipped and gone TOO far inside. Oh well, old news and Springer is halfway thru his suspension.
  19. Re: Bad hair day!!! (pic) Someone with too much time on their hands... OR some evil friends.
  20. Re: my boss got detained at ohare airport Not trying to Hijack the thread, glad to hear your boss made it ok, but I gotta put this out for public consumption. TSA policy is screwed up and here's why. We were leaving from a major East Coast Airport on a military contracted flight for Europe with follow on travel to our current destination, several of my buddies had their UNLOADED (EMPTY, ONLY THE SPRING AND BULLET REST INSIDE, NO BULLETS AT ALL) M-9 and M-4 mags in their carry on bags. Not all of their issue, thankfully, but the one per that is normally carried in the weapon. We all followed the standard proceedure of placing our carry-on bags on the conveyors to be scanned. TSA pulled every one of those guys out, searched their bags, and confiscated the mags. Now mind you, all of us are in uniform and those mags are kinda importaint where we were headed. We argued with the Screeners, the area supervisor, and the Manager about the necessity of those magazines to no avail. TSA kept the mags and my buddies were left to try and scrounge up some once we hit country. Luckily, we were able to do this. TSAs reasoning, magazines, even unloaded ones, are contraband and are not allowed in the cabin of airplanes, even ones contracted by the military. Go Figure...
  21. Re: My new hero! I read about this in Stars&Stripes this morning... What if it slipped. Accidents Happen. And according to what I read, Springers wife is going in for surgery, maybe his head wasn't in it or the situation just overcame him and he lost control. Or you're correct and he's a jerk. No one but Springer really knows.
  22. Re: Mother-in-law joke LMAO!!! Question, seriously, how many times to you resink the bait?

    Quotes...

  25. Re: I am about to snap GSGT, What a load of Horse****! This liberal, tree hugging, free peace for all stuff has really got me steamed. It's bad enough that the only thing that makes CNN are photos and videos of our soldiers being killed by IED, VBIED, or vest bombs. Nothing about all the good that happens here ever makes the tube. Now teachers are trying to push some "liberal agenda" on impressionable young minds. It just sickens me. What, pray tell, is the good teacher going to do with all of these letters? Post them on the board, box them all up and send them to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., or give them to some media outlet as anit-war propaganda? I would show up in uniform (deserts if you have them already) and voice my concern about this anti american behavior (restriction of free speech) to not only the teacher, but the principal, and if necessary the school board. I would also throw in that actions like this are extremely offensive to those of us who wear the uniform, and whether we agree or not, or job is to carry out the lawful orders of the Commander in Chief and the officers appointed over us. For sure, junior would have to take a 0 on particular project. Thanks for letting me vent.
