  1. The 870. The fit and finish is much better than the mossberg but they both will pretty much function the same. I like the action on the remington but I like the safety on the mossberg. I have an 870 and a 835 and my first shotgun was a 500 so it can be said I'm a fan of all of them.
  2. Yup! Listen to the old guy.
  3. Put it in your gun rack and admire it. If you want a gun to hunt with find a different one. The 30-30 is a great gun but a pre 64 winchester that was your grandfathers should be a keep sake.
  4. I love my 835! I use it for just turkeys but I'm sure it would be great for everything. I killed two Toms at 40 and 42 yds this past spring with #5 winchester 3.5's and a comp-n-choke.
  5. Welcome! Great to see you in here.
  6. I love my Drenalin so I think I will keep it. Well my wife actually said I will keep it!
  7. I own 3 700BDL's in .270. Would not trade them for anything. I also like the 7mm-08, I feel it's worth taking a look at.
  8. Took my wife and daughter to see it. It was very funny!
  9. Hunter B should hang his own stand and hunt it.
  10. Very nice deer Brian! Congrats to both you and Nate. Some day it will be my turn.I hope anyway.
  11. Well I learned something new. I tried the dollar bill trick with my remington 700BDL SS DM tonight and it would not fit at all. I loosened the front allen screw on the bottom of my gun untill the bill slid nice and easy. I took the gun out and shot it and instantly went from shooting 3-4 inch groups to shooting half inch groups at 100 yds. Man-o-man am I ever happy. Looks like after hunting season I will be taking the gun to my gun smith for a little floating work. I don't need a new gun now but I will still probably get one just for fun. I'm thinking a 300 wsm would fit the bill.
  12. I have a Remington 700BDL SS DM now and I can olny shoot 2 inch groups with hand loads so that gun will be traded very soon. I may take another look at the Tikka. I also like the T/C Icon but I really need an all weather gun not a show piece.
  13. I need HELP!!!!!!!! My choices are between the Browning stainless stalker and the Weatherby Vanguard stainless sub-moa. The price is about the same. I love the features on the Browning like the 60 degree bolt, palm swell and the light weight but I have heard from several people the gun has had some problem with grouping shots. The Weatherby is a bit heavier but is guranteed to shoot Sub-Moa. What riffle should I go with? I am going nuts with trying to decide. It will be .270 cal.
  14. I will not go into the woods without it! I love it and will use it as long as they make it. I use the sport wash brand. EXAMPLE: I shot a deer a few years ago and we did a small video in the back of a truck with my buddy my deer and myself. It was dark so we used night shot on his video camera amd my buddy and all of his hunting stuff glowed like the 4th of july. My clothing did not show one bit of uv. Now everyone I know uses this.
  15. I have used mine for the last 2 spring Turkey seasons and love it! I will not go turkey hunting with out it.
  16. The kid needs a fersh start anyway. I think it will be for the best for JR.. Besides what would T-Rex have to offer another driver other than the #8. DEI is losing most of its fan base and she needs to keep the #8 to keep a few fans around.
  17. I raced karts on dirt for 5 yrs and was very successful and drove a dirt street stock once. Now I just build race engines.

    Myspace

A couple of months ago we had a thread on here about Myspace. At the time I thought it was for kids and had no intrest. Now I have a page and I've had a great time talking to people I have not seen in years. Has anyone else changed their mind and started a page?
  19. That sucks Brian. If you would only let me put around 400hp under the hood you could have out run the deer! I think you should come see me soon.
