Re: Biggest buck you\'ve ever missed. I never got the chance to shoot at a big 8 piont my first year bow hunting. If I would have got him it would have been my first deer but he was about 50 yards off and chasing does so nothing I did could bring him any closer. Someone got him the next year too.

Re: Weirdest thing you\'ve ever seen while hunting? I have never seen anything too weird but I have had some odd things happen. Me and 2 hunting buddies were walking through the woods one day and a good sized stick hit one of them in the back. He said it felt like it was thrown. But nothing was behind us or anywhere around. Then the next year we were hunting close to the same spot. We stopped to help one of my friends set his stand up. Now it is 5:30am nothing but dark out when we hear this noise like a girl yelling. Not like a scream like wild cats or whatever but it went "whot" "whot". I have asked around and someone said maybe a yote. Dumbest noise I have ever heard in the woods, but at 5:30 in the morning it is a little freaky.

I need to make a resume for my g/f. Can any one give me some tips on how to make it or now of any site I can go to that would help?

How many of you use salt block where you hunt? I was just wondering what is the best kind? regular or something that is flavored. If flavored then what is the best flavor to use?

I have alway been told that catfish love chicken livers mixed with cherry kool aid. After last night I am a fan. Me and a friend went fishing last night and I caught 9 cats on it. He used regular livers and only had one fish to show for it.

I got a good deal on some Trophy Ridge sites. I only paid $90 for them vs $132 at the Trophy Ridge site. If you would like check out www.huntersfriend.com. I think there GT Traditional arrows are $65 per dozen, anyone now where I can find them cheaper? If so let me know.

Re: tree stands? I love my climber. I like being able to setup anywhere i would like. But there are also a lot of good straight trees here.

Re: Draw length I am about 5'8" and shoot a 29 with a loop. I guess my arms a little to long for me.

Re: Bowhunting Rituals? I always listen to Country Music and only Country on my way. And if we going camping the night before I ALWAYS forget my boots. There has been many times I woke from a dead sleep and it hits me that I forgot them. And the night before opening day is always the the most restless night of the year for me.

Re: Job poll 1) I work at Lowes loading lumber for people. I only have it because there is nothing else except fast food. 2) Going to school this fall to earn my A+, it is a computer reapir certification. Then maybe do some networking classes as well. 3) Just have a job for now, I hope to start my career this time next year.

Re: How High??? I go up until I hit good cover. I just really depends on what tree I am in and what is behind it. But usually anywhere from 20 to 30 feet.

Re: Bad Drivers. I had a guy stop in front of me yesterday. What had happened is one of his friend passed us and he decided to come to a dead stop in the middle of the road so talk to him. I locked the breaks up and came to a stop. He then gives me the bird and drives away.

I was reading the article on the home page and figured i would ask it anyone does play a shooting game to get ready for bow season. Me and a few off my friend try to out shoot one another. Sometime we pin money to a target, $1.00 per shot, and whoever gets the closest to Mr. Washington's head wins the pot. It is a quick way to make $5.00....or not.

Re: world hunt competition Today was the first time I had heard about this. I have to say it is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I have always liked hunting because it was someting I can do on my own instaed of going out and being on a football team or something. But now they are turning it into the same thing. The WHA is really going to screw something good up....it just fires me up to know that one person can take something I love and make it seem so bad just to make some money.
