  1. Hey everybody. I was looking into buying my grandfather a crossbow for Christmas this year. He is getting older and he has trouble drawing back a compound. I know he loves to deer hunt be the only time he gets to hunt them is during the rifle season. I dont get to hunt with him much during the rifle season so I wanted to get him into archery so I could spend more time with him in the woods. I know he would love it. And the past three years while turkey hunting he could have killed some dandy bucks but all he had was his shotgun in hand when they walked by. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good crossbow? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Chris
  2. Ill be out everyday here in Pa. Adrenaline_junky and I will be hitting it hard this year.
  3. I like that stuff. I had a can one time before a hockey game and I think I had the best game of my life.
  4. Thats a bad situation but those are some amazing pictures. Its amazing what mother nature can do.
  5. Thats a great deer! Congrats!
  6. Hey everyone. I was just wondering when a good time would be to start scouting for next year's archery season. I was thinking about going out to look here in the next week or so, but wont the deer sign be from pressured deer, and not what they will be doing during the archery season? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Chris
  7. I think Primos makes their vest in APG. You can get them at cabelas or www.primos.com
  8. I have the same draw length as you do. I shoot the Easton ST Axis 400 arrows at 70#'s. They shoot great. They fly straight and boy do they hit hard.
  9. Ohh well you guys forgot that deer dont have blood. They are filled with air and when you shoot them they deflate. If you shoot a deer it is going to bleed. Blood is part of the sport. I understand what you mean about the blood tho. Some people might find that repulsive or what not but all you have to do is give some suggestions like others have said. Not go and say that they are disrespecting the animal itself, or the sport of hunting.
  10. What a way to start off your hunting career! Congrats to him!
  11. Congrats Rossman! I had a chance at a monster saturday here in PA. I was at the edge of Geneva Swamp and the buck came in through some thick stuff and I couldnt get a shot at him. Ohh well I have a week left of rifle and then another couple weeks of late season archery/muzzleloader to tag one.
  12. Awesome. Looks like it was a good season for ya'll.
  13. Cool Pics. There are gonna be some monsters in that area next season!
