Well, my brother and I went out Sun. evening for a few hours. As I was preparing to attach my tow rope to my bow to pull up into my stand, I notice a nice little crack on the bottom limb near the axle. That effectively ended any ideas of gettin' anything. I radioed my bro and told him the news and said to just sit tight and do his thing while I sit and watch and take some pics. Saw two groups of three does and managed to get a few pics of the first group. The second group I didn't get any shots because it was too dark. Incidentally, the second set of does that came by, traveled up a trail that I had two or three good shooting lanes, and they passed by each one which would've given me good 15-18yd shots . Oh well, now I can look into gettin' that new XT that I've been lusting after for the last year. First pic:trail that comes from about the center of the pic to bottom right where sun hits the ground. Re: New member intro and raingear question I use Cabelas Rain Suede Packable rainwear. It is quiet and comfortable and works great. You'll pay a little bit of money for it but in the long run it'll be worth it.

Re: blazors The best thing you can do to help yourself is to learn how to do some of these types of things. That way when you have to have something done you're not dependant on someone else. Sorry to hear of your predicament. Good luck gettin' your arrows ready to go.

Re: Too hot!!! Went out Sun afternoon/evening and the temps were in the low 90's. Luckily I was in a wooded area where the sun had already passed over so I could get a good deal of shade. Did see 3 does so it wasn't a total loss.

Re: Rubber gloves I wear latex gloves and then I take old socks that have holes on the toe area and cut off that section. Then I slip the socks over my forearms to keep blood off my clothing. I think they're great.

Re: Gloves?? I got a pair of light-weight Mad Dog gloves that I wear all the time. If my hands get cold I just put em in my pockets. If it's really cold I put a heavy glove over the thin one and if it looks like I may be in for some action I just take it off.

Re: Experience with Montec broadheads? This is the first season I've use the Montecs. Haven't been out in the woods yet to see how they'll do on game, but in practice sessions, I get good arrow flight and feel they're a good choice. Get the sharpener too, if you haven't already. It does a good job getting the blades up to snuff.
